I'm going to follow most of these links and turn them into PDFs in hopes of preserving them just in case there are any future issues with the site.
THANK YOU!!!

Re: The 2.4L Engine

Well, 2 years later and still going strong on my 09 GT 2.4 Manual. Little sunburn on the roof, but it’s just cosmetics. The worst thing was having to replace all four OEM wheels due to bent rims (THANKS CINCINNATI). I use about 1 quart every 2,000 miles, though sometimes less. Going to flush out the...

Re: The 2.4L Engine

I’m picking up an ‘09 Vibe GT 2.4 liter 5 speed manual today! Any surprises to watch for? It has 99k on the ODO. My previous was an 09 vibe 1.8 l base. That's great news! :D I'll give you what little advice I can on the few issues known to these cars. First off, I have TWO 2009 Vibe Gt's in my flee...

Re: OHIO!!

I know I’m late to this post/thread, but Ohio and Indiana are chock full of vibes! I live in cincinnati and there are almost always at least three for sale on facebook marketplace. I work in East Central Indiana and there are tons on the road there too.

Re: EVAP - 09 BASE

The code = PO441 Talked to the dealer today. Trying to be optimistic, he said it "could be" the purge valve, (a leak?), but maybe needed a new computer. They're going to run some diagnostics later this month. I have 5 EVAP related codes on my 09 base. PO43E, PO43F, P2401, P2402, P2419. Al...

Re: How-to replace PCV Valve

Any info on the PCV location for the 2.4 l 2AZ-FE? I would imagine a regular PCV maintenance would be particularly beneficial on those since they are known to burn the oil with the bad piston rings and pistons. Also hoping to find it because I’d like to install an oil catch can.

Re: 2009 Vibe wheel specs

I just wanted to say thanks to the OP and commenters. Y’all solved my dilemma without having to ask!

That being said I had a quick question. On the 09 Vibe 1.8 base, is the bolt pattern 5x114.3 or slightly different?

Re: The 2.4L Engine

Pilar. Don't let a few mpg's difference bother you by getting the bigger engine in the 09-10 Vibe. Driving behavior is the biggest factor to consider. If you wouldn't mind shifting some gears, then look for a manual along with the 2.4l. More fun to drive and even better mpg's :D I get mid to upper ...

Re: Mumbledore’s 09 Vibe 1.8 liter base

This was a fleet vehicle prior to me owning it and I intend to keep it running as long as I can. Welcome to GenVibe. So what Fleet did this Vibe come from? Apparently they did terrible maintenance or just didn't give a s h i t about the car knowing that they would be sold off at an auction. How did...

Mumbledore’s 09 Vibe 1.8 liter base

Hello gen vibe community. I’ve owned my 09 base since about 2014. I love it! I have replaced the engine with a 2010 1.8 l since the old one died pretty horribly. Also have put a different transmission in it as it died. This was a fleet vehicle prior to me owning it and I intend to keep it running as...
