2005 GT grinding shifting to 3rd gear--anybody ever rebuild?

Good day all, my 2005 GT has 165K relatively trouble-free miles on it until this weekend. The transmission has started to grind a bit when shifting into 3rd gear. It stays in gear fine, and all of the other gears shift OK. I'm thinking I have a synchro that is starting to die so I'm either looking a...

Re: Sunroof and frame falling away from roof on one side (satin78)

If you slide the shade back and look at the right and left outer edges of the sunroof you will see two brackets on each side that attach the glass panel to the blocks in the sunroof track. The screws are of the torx type, and go horizontally into the blocks. It sounds like one or both of these screw...

Once you get the headliner down you may need to remove the sunroof assembly to get at the screws on the stops the Colonel is referring to. It's a pretty straightforward job.

I found the AM1 fuse under the dash to be blown. It looked perfect, even under a magnifying glass. But it showed open with a multimeter. So it must have blown inside the plastic where the blades come in. I was sure I found the problem but...no.So then I swapped the two relays and the things that wer...

Remove the motor from the assembly to align the gear. You can see it in the background. Be very careful when reinstalling the motor not to kick the gear out of alignment again. It took me a few tries to get it.

FIXED w/pics: Water dripping through moonroof switch/light cluster 05 GT

In a previous post I described how water leaked through the moonroof and dripped out of the switch/light cluster. The problem was the weatherstrip around the glass.
