Back from the dead! I still get confused as to why there are different part numbers for the same engines on my base models 2006 & 2007. I changed the 2006’s previously with Fram part# FV406. I’m about to buy one now for the 2007 & it shows a different part# from the 2006’s on Autozones’s web...
2004 @ 230k mi.
2006 @ 198k mi.
2007 @ 104k mi.
All are still running great! Just keep changing the oils with SuperTech HM 5W30 full synthetic every 5k mi. and all the other fluids every 30k mi.
We currently have 3 Vibes with OEM wheels in the family.
2004 with 17” alloys
2006 with 16” alloys
2007 with 16” steelies/hubcaps
I’m gonna guess the 16” alloys are the lightest. I’d like to know has anyone installed other OEM wheels like 15” Prius wheels or something lighter?
Ok I’ve tried to search PCV valves on our cars, but have gotten mixed answers. Can we verify which is correct? -Base models with 1zz engines take the coarse threaded PCV valve (Fram part # FV406) -GT models with 2zz engines take the fine threaded PCV valve (Fram part # FV407) -AWD models?? Please po...
What’s up to my Vibe family! Haven’t been here in while. Our 3 Vibes have been awesome! Just changing the oil every 5k miles (SuperTech high mileage full synthetic 5W-30) and all the other fluids every 30k mi. All are running great!
I’m wondering if our wheelset off our Subaru will fit the Vibe. Y’all think I’ll have any problems rubbing? I believe the offset will make em tuck in more.
Specs:
Wheels: Sport Edition P2 Anthracite 16x7.5”, ET48
Tires: Laufenn G FIT (made by Hankook) 215/55R16
Picked up our 1st one last April and now we have 3. Just love these cars! The most versatile, reliable, easy to maintain car that gives great gas mileage too!
Quick pic of the 3. All need cleaning lol https://vgy.me/w0oikF.jpg
Last time I ordered everything from Amazon, but was wondering what's everyone using from Walmart.
-Valvoline Full Synthetic IMV
-Coolant Flush Zerex Asian Red
Wow I forgot to post pics! Damn hella late lol! Well here’s pics after we got it detailed. As of today we’ve already put on 30k trouble free miles! My wife liked the Vibe so much that a few months ago we bought another one for us. A white 2007 with only 86k miles. Then we went looking for another Vi...
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I did just purchase a 2006 Vibe recently. I remember the same situation on my ‘99 Mustang GT. Ford did the same thing for the New Edge Mustang GT years. 1999-2001 says 5 quarts in the owner’s manual. 2002-2004 says 6 quarts. Now the motor and the oil pan did not...
Hello everyone! My name is Nic. We just picked up a 2006 Vibe to replace our wrecked 2011 Civic. I was really lucky. Got it from the original 87 year old owner. Has been garaged with only 90k miles on the clock. Some blemishes here and there on the exterior and some stains and hair in the interior, ...
