Re: 2007 Vibe roof rack Cross bars?

Found a vibe at a picknpull in the town I just moved to that had the cross bars. It just happened to be half off day as well. Pick up the cross bars- minus 2 of the knobs- for $11. Pretty happy about that. They came off a 03 gt and I'm wondering if there is anything I can swap onto my base as an upg...

2007 Vibe roof rack Cross bars?

I'm looking to put some cross bars on my Vibe since I was gifted a nice used rooftop cargo box. There's an OEM set on ebay for $80 but there are a lot of other options closer to $40 (universalish). What are you guys and gals running? Amazon reviews are all over the place for the ones I am looking at...

Re: Rear toe adjustment issues

I know this is old but I'll add on to this my experience for other people searching this subject. The rear wheel bearing is held on by a few bolts and even if there is rust, a healthy swing of a sledge hammer should knock it loose, it's not a press fit. I had to shim my passenger rear .75 degrees an...

Re: Got Sacammed on a Vibe, now i have to live with it

Bummer that you got scammed, but that price is actually fairly good for a vibe with 170k on it, at least where I'm at (central cali).

Re: What did you do to your Vibe today

6. Front brakes - they were done at something like 40K, but I'm noticing some vibration when braking when they warm up - rotors probably need replacing. My 07 had the brake vibration when I bought it as well. From what I have read it seems like these cars kill rotors pretty easily. Here's what I pu...

Re: Is Dorman good for aftermarket manifold/donut gasket?

Took the car to an exhaust shop. They confirmed that the gasket is sub-par and have ordered a replacement one. Will update when problem is fixed. The problem is now fixed 99%. I feel like I might hear an exhaust leak when the engine is cold, but that might just be me being extra sensitive to noises...

Re: The soccerdad wagon

Well, it's a good time for an update since I've doing a bunch of work to the car. The Vibe had a rear alignment issue which killed a rear tire while I was up in Tahoe. Ended up spending way too much on a set of tires for the thing, but I did make the switch to 15's for the smoother ride. When these ...

Re: New member

I have a 2009 Vibe AWD. I replaced the electromagnetic coupler on the rear diff. drained the rear diff and filled it with gear oil, now I have gear oil in the spare tire well. does anyone know what I did wrong? Thanks in advance Tom I'm going to guess that the breather tube for the diff goes up int...

Re: Is Dorman good for aftermarket manifold/donut gasket?

I'm going to piggyback on this thread to keep the info in one place. I installed the Dorman 674-939 cast manifold kit today on my 07 base 2wd auto vibe as I had a small leak and assumed it was the manifold. The manifold wasn't cracked, it was leaking past the donut, but I decided to go ahead with in...

Re: The soccerdad wagon

Thanks guys, I got lucky with this being the only vibe for sale locally.

And I think this is the second version of the first generation.. And the second generation came out in 09. Does that sound right?

Re: The soccerdad wagon

I am going to replace the rotors and pads by myself this time. I am looking at ACDelco 18A1104 Professional Front Disc Brake Rotor and ACDelco 17D923CH Professional Ceramic Front Disc Brake Pad Set Any comments? Thank you. Caution, rant below. ACDelco is the OEM GM brake parts brand and should be v...

X2. I just picked up the same thing but in the 2007 flavor. I like the first generation of front bumper better. It's more aggressive looking.

Re: The soccerdad wagon

Looks clean and nice. I don't remember what brands of rotors and pads are on my 05 vibe. But after many years and miles they still work perfectly. I think they were replaced at the dealship last time. Thanks. I did some research on this car before purchasing and it seems like the warped rotor probl...

The soccerdad wagon

And here it is: http://i.imgur.com/fHkg3gN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QgfOTFm.jpg It's got 75k miles and is a base model with the auto tranny. I picked this thing up about a week ago and have had sometime behind the wheel to figure out what it needs. First off is the pulsating brakes and shimmy in steer...

Re: Picked up an 07 base Moonstone

Here's a better picture of it. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b51/TMansfield/20170324_164404_zpsnuqkldzo.jpg I'm pretty sure it was hit in the driver rear corner. Zero frame damage but the new paint hasn't held up that great so I can tell where it has been repainted. Still looks decent overall th...

Picked up an 07 base Moonstone

Just picked this thing up and have started going through it. It has a salvage title, but has been repaired. Only has 75k miles and is fairly clean . It's an auto, which I usually wouldn't have picked, but it seems to work ok. I think the wheels are from a GT, and it has the monsoon sound system as w...
