Figured I would just do an update on how my Vibe is coming along. Soon I will be painting the body plastic and polishing up the headlights. SO stay tuned for those videos. All in all my Vibe looks a lot better than it did a year ago. Also check out the powerstop brake videos I did. Yes I know this i...

Re: Tow Report

What's the Vibe's tow rating? A lot less than a Miata. But I would seriously consider getting like a Chevy Colorado or something to tow with. I also towed about 1600lbs and it could do it just fine but an emergency stop would have been BAD. The difference is the trailer I was towing weighed about 1...

I bought some Power Stop Z23 - Crossdrilled and slotted rotors and Z23 Pads all the way around.
I will be posting a video this weekend when I put them on.

Going to try and do a 60 - 0 test with stock warped brakes and then with the Power Stops....see how much better they are.

Should be fun.

Finally got around to lowering my Vibe. The stabilizer end links were a PITA. The lock nuts and rust made them really difficult to remove. If you do a 2zz swap ditch the auto and put a manual trans in it.

The auto's gearing is terrible for the 2ZZ powerband. It would hit lift then go 1000rpms under lift
take a few seconds hit lift etc.

And you would need a 2zz ecu.

When the engine is cold it needs more fuel, that's why it's adding 20% more when it's cold and at 2000rpms. That sounds a little high to me. but the -5% means it has to much fuel and it's taking some out. But -5% isn't even that bad....... Typically the code P0171 is set when either short term fuel ...

Your throttle cable could be getting stuck, if the wire is frayed it could be sticking, or the plate in the throttle body is getting stuck.
My bet is the throttle cable is messed up.
