solved:CEL charcoal canister, gas cap, filler neck codes

So, to recap. 2004 base vibe. Bought 2 years ago. CEL went on as I drove it away. Vrought to mecahnic, who took codes, three codes. I paid $250 for those three codes. Mcchanic said 'replace canister, fuel filler neck and a valve under the hood, 1400 bucks. I said I can't, just bought the car for 4 g...

yet another emission and code question

I'm getting something like exhaust smell in the cabin when the heater is on. I've been getting the codes P0441, P0442,P0446 for the last two years and decided I wasn't going to try to chase down, fuel filler neck, cannister, purge valve, all that stuff. But this exhaust smell in the cabin is new. My...

Brighter headlights and/or sanding

hi 2004 Vibe, cloudy headlights. My headlights aren't bright enough at night, and I'm a senior so I need more light. Does it make more sense to get the headlights sanded (body shop will charge me $100) do it myself, or buy some new bulbs? And, are there any conventional bulbs that are brighter than ...

I need to glue the trim which is coming loose, By trim I mean the stuff that's under the doors and over the fenders on the exterior body. I need to glue it to the metal and some glues don't work on some plastics. Anybody know what kind of plastic that stuff is?
