Re: MacGyver's - 2009 Vibe Base

I'm guessing this is by design to allow moisture to shed off the lens and to make sure a hot lens does not melt the plastic bezel. Looks good! You're right they do look good! And I agree about the gap being by design for moisture and heat, I have seen a number of aftermarket fog lights melt or othe...

Re: MacGyver's - 2009 Vibe Base

Sounds like it was a super easy install. That is awesome! I too am wanting to add either some fog lights or a hidden LED bar in the front bumper, something to give more low and wide light. How well to do the bezels fit with those fog lights?

Re: ElScotto - 2009 Vibe AWD

I will be using the racks quite a bit (kayak and mountain bike in the summer and snowboards in the winter), so I won't be taking them off. As far as switching them out for Matrix ones, for now I am going to leave these on here but I may switch them out later on, I do like the looks of the Matrix bar...

Sharp looking car! I bet that stick shift is loads of fun spending 90% of the time sitting in traffic though.

Very nice! What light bars did you use? I have been thinking about putting one in the bumper myself. Did you wire all 3 to the same switch or 2 separate switches?

Re: ElScotto - 2009 Vibe AWD

I swapped out the dome light bulbs for JDM 6000k Xenon white LEDs. Made a huge difference in how bright it is inside the car now.

Re: ElScotto - 2009 Vibe AWD

Thank you all for the welcome! I have already found lots of useful information and great modification ideas! I am very excited to have a Vibe AWD. My best friend has a 2010 Matrix named Trixie that I have been lusting over for a while now lol. Now she is jealous of my car.

Re: ElScotto - 2009 Vibe AWD

First just the basics, stereo w/ navigation (current head unit has a broken volume knob and a jammed CD anyway) and dark window tint. I'm also wanting to change over most of the bulbs to LED.

By the end of the year I'm wanting to get new rims and tires, we go skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
