Re: '05 AWD Front Lower Control Arms

All four major parts stores, Advance Auto, AutoZone, Napa, O'Reilly's, all list the exact same control arm options for ALL 2003-2008 Vibes, whether FWD 1ZZ, AWD 1ZZ, or the 2ZZ. Rock Auto does as well. Odds are, your old one is bent out of shape. There should be a slight curve to them, especially a...

The front lower control arms and sway bar end links are all the same on the front for the 03-08 Vibes. so, the ones i ordered did not fit. there is a slight arc to the new ones that seems ok, but puts the wheel out of whack. this is what i ordered. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=856457...

Re: Timing Chain for '05 VVT-i 1ZZ-FE Questions/Concerns

You will want to check if your engine has filter screens for the oil going to the VVT. If it does, be sure the filter screens are clean. When you price out the timing chain, check on price of gears and chain guides also. When you do the timing chain, now is the time to replace the water pump, hoses...

Timing Chain for '05 VVT-i 1ZZ-FE Questions/Concerns

first off, i'm super anxious about anyone cracking open my engine. :? the mechanic that always works on my car says he can hear the timing chain. is this possible? i mentioned replacing the tensioner first, but he seemed sure at 251K that the timing chain needs replaced. he also said the oil pump wo...

'05 AWD Front Lower Control Arms

i need lower control arms and stabilizer links...in the front for inspection.

are these interchangeable with the fwd ones or non-specific?

the only thing listed for AWD were rear ones (and they were $360 compared to all the others being less than $50)

at 251K btw!
