Re: 2zz-ge header removal

Well, it's all together and I got the axle back welded up with a 14" Borla XS muffler. Sadly I can report that it is waaaaaaaaay too loud at highway speeds above 60 mph, Droney as hell too... SO I'm gonna have to find a better muffler solution. Most likely something bigger and maybe with a baffle or...

2zz-ge header removal

After 4 years of balefully staring at the PPE boxes in my garage, I finally had enough money for the 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless axle back that would complete the all stainless PPE long tube header with spiked collector and mid-pipe with high flow cat and resonator. OP didn't ask for realism. I would also point out that the 2zz-ge motor was specifically designed to be a performance motor. You're just being negative and I'm not sure why.

The CTS-V wagon would like to have a chat with you.

Body style doesn't determine what the engine is capable of. The 2zz can be made more powerful if you have the money. And if OP wants to spend it on a vibe then we should help them instead of being negative for no good reason.

ddpr in texas is knowledgable about the 2zz engines as well. In terms of adding power, some guys in puerto rico have been doing NA builds on stock internals in the low 200 hp range at the wheels. ColonelPanic, you should invest in some foam speaker protectors. They create a foam pocket behind the speaker that the speaker then resides in. Super cheap, better sound, and no more watery speakers!

If you're looking to power all 4 doors and a sub, then you should be looking at a 5 channel amp rather than having to wire two separate amps. So much easier to install!

It really depends on the head unit, some will have a setting that allows you to choose a cut off frequency between the subwoofer and the speakers. Audio tuning is a bit of a deep pool to jump into. Things like head unit, speakers, and an amp are pretty easy to install as long as you have enough knowledge to take apart the cars interior and put it back together. If the clutch itself is worn out, the car will not move when in gear but the engine will rev. This is caused by the friction material on the clutch being worn out enough that the clutch will not maintain friction when in contact with the flywheel.
