Looks sharp! That drop looks a lot like Tein S Tech springs. I put mine on about 6 weeks ago and have been loving it ever since. I'd say it rides even better than stock. Welcome to the Vibe Tribe.
I also have a Vibe GT that was a 4-down towed car. I like what you did with the light bar. Do you know how the 4-down bracket is attached? I really wanna remove mine but am afraid I'd have to take the whole front bumper and grill assembly off.
You can visit http://www.vindecoder.net/ and check the trim levels. As long as the engine and transmission are the same and model years fall in the same family ('03 to '08) or ('09 to '10) then the only differences in parts will be minor, 03-04 have a different grille than 05-08 vibes. Other than th...
I also have S Techs on stock struts and my plan has been to go with Tokico HPs (they're blue) when the factory KYBs give up the ghost. Everything I've read about tein spring/strut combos points to Tokico.
Hi! I see vibe's all over the roads herein GA and can't believe there aren't more people on the boards.
ATLien here, looking for a VibeTribe to cruise with or meet up at the awesome shows around the area.
Bought my current 04 GT with 59k on it in 2014. An older couple had traded it in for a boring Ford. I had the papers signed and they keys to the car before they even got it through detail. Keep an eye out and the right car will be out there for you.
First gens look really good with a drop. I went down 2" with no clearance or rubbing issues on the stock strut/wheel/tire combo. Just curious, did you cut the bump stops down at all?
Thanks guys. Still debating the whole GL-4 vs GL-5 thing for the C60 transmission. I'm thinking I'll be using Amsoil 75W-90. Also there is a 6" black stripe going up on the windshield and black carbon fiber look vinyl going on the back window that will say "murdervibe." I'll be sure t...
I had an 05 base in Neptune Blue. It really is a great color. That's low mileage on an 06, thumbs up. I dig the paintwork on the hubcaps.
What color LEDs do you want to use for the cupholder/accent lighting?
Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! Pics are up now in Genvibe Garage. Sorry for the delay, lots of work and not enough time to share all the fun stuff I've been doing. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=44245
I bought an 04 abyss black GT September, 2014 and kept it mostly stock for 4 months "murdervibe" 62,334 miles running 0w-40 Mobil1 K&N box filter Maintenance Due: Transmission Oil (not sure what to use) Current Mods: PlastiDip badges and wheels Tein S Tech springs on stock struts Carbo...
After finishing some mods and personalizing this 04, I've changed my mind. The GT is now way cooler and more fun to drive than my 05 base ever was. Trade up if its in your budget.
So you don't like LIFT? It the only way to go. I feel sorry for that car towing and not being driven like it should. The engine like high revs. The only lift I'm gunning for is valve lift. That motor sounds awesome when the lift kicks on. I felt sorry for it too. It's got a hideous bracket poking o...
I like the 03/04 front way more and I thought it would be a good way to get more power and start squeezing more from my car at a higher starting point. I am the exact opposite, give me an 05+ any day. If your car is Abyss black and the front is in great shape, I'll trade you. As for the power, I ow...
Hi GenVibe, glad to be here. I just bought a 2004 Vibe GT with only 58,500 on it. It was a older couples 4-down towed car, and with driving miles that low I couldn't pass it up. I once owned a Neptune blue 05 base... but she gave up her life to save me from a tree that maliciously jumped out into th...
