Re: Do your fog lights suck?

They are fully automatic as are the headlights so i just leave them on. I leave them on since they look nice and ive noticed that slow left lane drivers seem to move out ot the way faster when i have them on (maybe a psychological link with fog=sports cars ??). I was just curious because i find they...

Re: Do your fog lights suck?

:geek: ive driven cars that had very good fog lights (oem of course). But maybe since this is an economical car they are just for the looks. Ill try putting decent 2500k bulbs in them see if it makes a difference. If not at least they will look nice.

Do your fog lights suck?

I have a 2004 vibe with the oem fog lights with oem bulbs in them. They make the car look nice but seem to barely make a difference in lighting. Just barely on the sides in front.

The these oem fog lights suck or is it just my oem bulbs that are crappy?

Re: Broken exhaust manifold

My brother had to change his (it was so rusted it wouldnt seal right on engine head). He ordered this one on egay. New with gaskets included, seems like a good deal to me.

Exaust donuts

Hello Just doin a tuneup before the cold season. The donut gaskets between the manifold and cat is leaking and the one between the resonator and muffler too. The oem ones are pretty expwnsive for 2 little metal rings (38$ and 42$ for pontiac, and 48$ and 52$ for toyota). I was gonna buy aftermarket ...

Re: replaced lower control arms, now alignment issues

I replaced mine about 2 months ago with moog control arms. No problem with alignment and drives much better now ! I reused the oem ball joints since they are still good. From what the auto parts guy told me, they never sell toyota ball joints. They last forever unless the boot breaks. I paid a lot f...

Re: Matrix or vibe thermostat

I looked on a couple of parts stores and it seems to be the same. Just sold under a different manufacturer name for the vibe. So ill just order one for the matrix. Why pay more for the same part... And no way im buying the crappy one from the autoparts stores, i want oem. The crappy autoparts stores...

Matrix or vibe thermostat

Hell

For some reason the pontiac vibe thermostat is more expensive than the toyota matrix thermostat (at least on ebay).
Are they the same ? Can i just order the matrix thermostat for my 2004 1zzfe pontiac vibe ?

Thanks
Dont forget, winter is coming :(

235 on 1st gen ?

Probably been asked but i could not find it. Last winter i had 225/60 16s on my 2004 vibe. Now they are almost as bald as i am. So im looking for new ones. There seem to be enough clearance for 235 large (235/60r16). I could not find 235/55 tires, so would 235/60r16 fit without any problems ? I know...

Auto or 6spd ? Id be interested in the 6spd tranny to replace my 5spd.
I could check for shipping cost or maybe pick it up myself.

Thanks

Re: Headlights

What kind of SilverStars are you using i.e. regular, Ultras or zXes? I bought thr ultras. 60$ for 2. They say 50% brigjter but i would say its about 20% brighter. Not sure i would pay 60$ next time. Is that at all possible in a car or are the headlights on a separate circuit and swapping turn signa...

Headlights

I got tired of my crappy yellow headlights. So i wetsanded it and polished them. Now they look like new. I also replaced the burned out bulb (and the other one) with a set of silverstars. Very good difference !! Now i read on forums that the stock wires suck. And you lose a lot of voltage. Also tha...

body difference between 2wd and 4wd

Hello I just bought a 2004 2wd vibe. I have to change the rear axle beam since it bent from an impact. I found a local junkyard that sells the beam for 60$. The thing is they just post a picture of the car on facebook. If you call them they dont really know the cars specs. Is the any way to tell if ...
