Re: Problem with battery consistently dying

Do you have a multimeter? If so, hook it up to the battery while it's running to see what the alternator is putting out. Should be somewhere around 13 volts. I can't remember the exact range. You could also use the multimeter to hook it up to the battery and fuse box, and start pulling fuses one-by...

Re: Problem with battery consistently dying

That manual is so bogus with some major errors. It probably says that you should not insert any bulb higher than 60 watts into your fuse box. I too had intermittent starting issues. And even when two places said my alternator tested fine, I demanded that it be replaced. It was the alternator. Good ...

Problem with battery consistently dying

This started last fall, I've had my Vibe for about 5 years now (This is the first real issue i've had!) The car wouldn't start, that's okay I figured the battery was done since I never changed it, and who knows how old it was. This worked and the car started up fine. About a month later (December) I...

Re: What did you do to your Vibe today?

Well it finally happened. First the rust on the exhaust started on the pipe behind the muffler, causing it to be a little louder. Then the rust started to make a whole after the resonator, making the car even louder. Now it finally severed after the resonator completely. It's a shame the only exhaus...

Welome! post pics of your car when you can. I love the 09/10 GTs, especially red. Is there some type of cover for the cargo area that pulls over the hatch/trunk area to cover any "goods" that are put back there? I don't mean the hard cover over the spare tire area, but a soft cover that pu...

How to mount factory roof rack on 09 Vibe?

I got an 09 GT and got a set of stock roof racks. I know you have to take out the plasticclips, the bolts, and the little bracket thing. But what am I missing to secure the 4 mounts down to the roof?

Re: is a 2.4 litre good stuff=-

I love my 09 GT manual. It's certainly peppy in the higher RPMs, but doesn't have a lot of power. More responsive than my V8 Silverado I do all driving around town, and don't necessarily baby it, yet I will get at least 23-24 MPG (with winter closer to 22-23) If they put a turbo on it from stock and...

Cleaned the windows today, it's in desperate need of a wash though, but I might wait till after this snowstorm this weekend.

I also need to do an oil change. if it's not too bad I'll do it tomorrow. I need a space heater or something in my garage.

I'm pretty surprised at my fuel mileage. The EPA estimate for city is 21 MPG. I do all city driving, and I'm quite peppy to get up to speed, and the past two months I've gotten about 24.5 MPG. In the summer I was over 25 MPG around town.

I just had this problem this morning. Got the VSC off, Check engine light, and the other light coming on.

Got P0607 which would suck. I cleared the codes and drove around for a few minutes and they have not returned yet. I really hope it's just a weather thing.

The only way to make an attached scoop functional is if you cut a hole in the hood. That said you can buy one and have it cut then welded, and have the hood repainted.

It doesn't sound much better. And the muffler is far enough away from the manifold that it won't increase performance at all. The only way it would, is if you increase the size of the pipe from the header back.
