Re: Stuck Bolt In Rear Knuckle Bushing AWD

They can be tough. You may have to remove the spindle and press it out using a shop press. The other thing that might work is to use a ball joint/U joint press tool to press it out on the car if you have space. Stack spacers to support the bushing and drive the bolt through. The air chisel doesn't w...

Mine fell off after dragging on the way to work. I picked it up the next day. It has sat on my garage shelf for two years. The car has endured summer road trips, loaded, through mountains. Didn't catch on fire.

You'll be fine without it.

I've replaced the Vibe

Decided to upgrade my daily from my 2004 Vibe. It's served me well for three and a half years, and was purchased brand new by my sister/brother in law. Hasn't been without issues, though. The C59 trans destroyed itself, so I swapped it for a C60. The oil sensor failed, leaving the light inoperative ...

There isn't a "one" diagram for modern cars. Too much wiring. They are drawn by systems. What system do you need? I may be able to grab one for you, I have service software. Don't say "all of them", lol. If you need all, you need to buy a FSM (or subscribe to an online service).

Good work! You're almost done. One more thing. On your next tire change, up your size by one to 205 60 16 (from 55 series). This will bring your highway revs back down a bit, and should put your speedo right on the money. It did for me. The 60s just look better as well (and improve the ride quality)...

Option 3? Buy a pump, keep it in the glove compartment? Change on the side of the road if/when the OEM one dies? You don't have to drop the tank like on older cars.

Pop that spring clip up and off to see what the damage is and to think about possible fixes. It might be obvious when it is in your hand. The clip is one like the brake line clips, it's next to your hollow red arrow.

I have done this swap. The C60 is a straight bolt in. You reuse everything from your car: shifter, cables, axles. Use your stock flywheel. Mine was in such good shape, I just left it in place, gave it a quick non-directional finish with a Roloc disc, then bolted up the almost new clutch that was inc...

The first diagnosis should be to remove the serpentine belt, then run the engine briefly. This will immediately tell you if the problem is internal or if it is something on the accessory drive like the tensioner/alternator/water pump etc.

Crack the bleeder before to know if you need to replace the caliper/wheel cylinder (disc/drum). If it opens, you're good. YOu can get away with bleeding that corner, but it would be good to bleed them all and get fresh fluid through.

So it's just the light on the right side of the dash that's on? The one for when there's weight on the passenger seat? Pop the dash apart, remove bulb, and never worry about it again. If the CLUSTER light isn't on, and there are no codes, your system is ready and working properly.
