Re: Autocrossers?

I'm volunteering to work the snowdrift rally in Atlanta,MI. next weekend. I noticed one team is racing a 2003 vibe GT! I'll try to post some pics here if possible.

I have given up trying to solve this problem. The vibration along with the crappy ride has me looking for a replacement for this car. I think I will be losing my (removed) on this car with the way it runs and rides.

Re: ..something ain't right...

My 2007 Vibe has vibrated and rattled since the day I bought it. I have 79000 mi. on it now. Thing is a rattle trap that rides like crap! Can't wait to pay the thing off so I can get rid of it.

Re: Vibration

I am thinking of trying to switch to a synthetic tranny fluid to see if it helps my vibration problem. The vibration has gotten worse now. At times it makes the metal shell of the car vibrate like someone is banging on a metal drum. Between the punishing ride and the vibration problem, this car is r...

Re: Vibration

I cleaned the MAF sensor, it looked pretty clean already but I went ahead and cleaned it. The car seems to idle at a bit lower RPM now but the vibration is still there. I was wondering if it would be alright to use the MAF cleaner that I bought to clean the throttle body? Just looking to save a few $.

Tell me that doesn't look awesome! That's the look I want for my Vibe. Nobody has mentioned what the ride difference is with the bigger rubber though? Any improvement over small bumps that make my Vibe rattle my bones?

Re: 205 65 R16's on 2007 vibe?

I am still looking to do this before winter. I discovered my spedo is currently off almost 4 mph with the stock tires. ( the gauge reads that I am going 4mph faster than I really am traveling). So I figure the bigger tires should bring the spedo into calibration with my actual speed I am driving ? J...

I was also wondering about the ride with the 15 in. rims. I am ready to do just about anything to improve the harsh ride of my Vibe. I already put on Monroe OEspectrum shocks and the ride is the same if not worse.

Re: Vibration

I tried the Techron additive and it didn't help at all. My car vibrates if it is in neutral or drive. The only way to get rid of the vibration is to raise the RPMS. Sometimes it's so bad it shakes the steering wheel. I am going to try the MAF and intake cleaner next. Anyone have some good links as t...

Great, that gives me a place to start anyway. Thanks guys. Wondering, Will the Techron fuel additive clean up the throttle body and MAF sensor as well or do I need to do those myself? The vibration does not go away if I shift into N or Park. I did try what one member suggested, shifting into drive a...

I did this over the weekend. The quick roof stuff isn't cheap. I used 2 rolls. I did find the sound proofing material on sale at Menards. It is some dense material made from recycled denim. I really don't notice that much of a difference to be honest. I still get the nasty thud when I hit medium siz...

205 65 R16's on 2007 vibe?

Anyone ever try this? It looks like they would fit. I think the 65's are 2 1/2 in. bigger in overall diameter than the 55's. I am looking for a smoother ride and more ground clearance. Might look kinda cool with the bigger tires. Will it really screw up my gas mileage and speedo?

Well, I tore everything out of the trunk under the floor and sprayed all the metal floor areas with rubberized undercoating. Then I cut a piece of carpet to fit under the spare tire so it can'tbang against the floor. I also made sure the round wing nut was securely tightened down. I even lined the t...

I believe it is just a poorly designed suspension. This isn't a sports car, it's a little commuter car with a weak 4cyl engine, so why design it with a harsh ,stiff ride?
