Who can photo-shop a paint job for me?

Ok, Bought this Salsa Red '03 with crashed front end. Local bone yard has bumper cover in black, I bought it. I didn't buy the hood yet because of small damage on the front, still searching. How bad would a black front bumper and hood look on a Red car? Ok? Cool? Terrible? Be brutally honest. I can ...

Re: Aftermarket Front bumper questions

I think I found the answer to the difference in the headlights 03/04 vs 05-08...just black vs chrome inside. Right? Fit is the same. That would clear up the headlight fit issue with that aftermarket bumper. Still hoping to hear from someone who has installed one how decent the fit was to the fenders...

Re: Touch up paint for stonechips on 05 Vibe

That entire hood could be re-painted. You can dab touch-up paint into every chip but you might grow old doing it with that many chips. Go to google or ebay and search on touch-up paint. You give them your paint code and they send you a color matched bottle. It will be more paint for less money than ...

Be glad your Vibe has environmentally friendly paint. I'm kidding. The "environmentally friendly" base coat/clear coat paints do not hold up like the good old days when we used lacquer and enamel paints. You could spray on as many layers as you wanted and get a deep wet look. Could wax,buf...

Aftermarket Front bumper questions

Been a long time since I've posted. Was out of the vibe world for a while but I'm back! Picked up a base 03 (two of them actually) with a light hit on the front. Nice little Vibe otherwise with only 140k on it, rust free (even the hatch). I'm thinking about the aftermarket front bumper cover that is...

Re: 6speed for re-build $100, complete factory pwr moon roof $75

Moonroof sold. :(

Not sure it could be added to a non factory car because the mounts under the headliner would not be there to bolt it into place. Aftermarket roof can be installed because they just cut hole and sandwich the roof in place from inside to outside. Factory one had bolt in rails.

Re: Check engine light - evap codes

We all will be guessing without the check codes.

For a quick and possible check, disconnect your MAF then start it and see if it runs any better. Power will be limited with a faulty maf. Of course this will trigger a maf code but will go away or can be reset when they check your codes.

Did the lift screen cleaning and mmo get rid of the code? Did you get to hit lift? Try and locate the noise (pinpoint) by ear or use a stethescope. Same clips are used to retain brake hoses. You can get them at any parts store. I thought of that also but I think the brake clips are smaller, for a smaller diameter. When you pull the variable lift solenoid (drivers side of the head) to pull the oil screen for cleaning there is a single wire temp sensor right there for oil temp.

If I understand it right the ecu needs to see 160 degree oil temp before allowing lift to engage on the 2ZZ engine (on my 03 at least). Hard to get oil temp up there in below 25 degrees outside temp, at least for me. 25 degrees seems like the break point where I might or might not be able to engage ...
