I've only ever broken the cast hex/nut once on the dozens of Vibes I've owned. It was one with 250k+ miles on it when I bought it and changed the belt. I quickly learned that since it is cast aluminum, to stop once the tensioner stops; you won't have any more give and you will break that nut. FWIW, ...

Cost will vary drastically depending on the shop you go to. Best bet is to call a few local paint shops. There are shops that can do a cheap respray taping off the windows. Others want to remove the glass and everything. I'd say probably a minimum of $1000-1500 these days for the cheap version.

If it's stuck, it's probably melted or burnt. I'd say cut it and splice in a new pigtail.

Your vehicle has a 9003 harness. That is what you will need to get the lights to function properly. If you're unsure, I'd recommend sending them out to www.lightwerkz.net and they can make them for you.

I'm pretty sure there are no actual TPMS sensors in 2007 and below. They judge tire pressure by rotation, set by the initial drive cycle after dash light reset. I've managed to have tires with really low pressure -not- trigger off the light. I'm certain that 09 and up have them. No clue about 08. Y...

I know that vibes without power locks do not have the wiring stuff for the locks...A member on here (now on FB only) had to run all of the wiring for lock actuators for an aftermarket lock system.

I'd presume it's the same for Vibes without the power hatch

Have you replaced the intake manifold gasket? (Sorry, didn't read the full thread). If not, take a look at that. Those are common to cause this code.

It's a pretty straightforward task. You can probably get away with just unbolting all of the hold downs for the fuel rail there and then lift it out of the way to replace the injectors...It's been a while, but I am pretty sure that's what we did when we swapped the blown motor.

Better availability of parts, more reliable drivetrain compared to the 2AZ, rear window opens separate from the hatch, level cargo area in the hatch, etc. But second gen, especially the 2.4 that I just dogged, does have better oomph wh...

it's not the computer and you need a new mechanic if they're telling you that is the issue.

could be the purge valve or the vent valve. both relatively cheap parts last i looked for a first gen, and pretty easy to replace.
