Re: Considering buying an 03 Vibe. General questions

For potential issues, the biggest concerns are always rust, rust, rust. The most common locations on a vibe are under the rear hatch glass and the bototm lip of the hatch, the front side of the rear wheel well connecting to the rocker, and above/around the windshield. Contrary to others, I feel $350...

the 5 speed, 6 speed, and automatic axles are slightly different in length. you may need to have the parts store pull each so you can compare and grab the correct ones. also make sure you get the correct spline count.

Frankly, winter tires are your best option. While they sometimes cannot be financially feasible, if you're planning on keeping the car a while, they're worthy of the investment.

I'm not 100% positive on the 2nd gens, but I believe the airbag recall was only for the passenger side and for the airbag computer thing. They shouldn't have touched anything on the driver side, but I could be wrong. With that said, the majority of the time on the 1st gen (03-08) if the horn stops w...

I'd probably take the radio and glovebox out and see if you can see anything from there. Did you try to go in from each vent on the dash and see it? Honestly, you may end up having to remove the dash to get to it.

03-08 AWD/Base = 1.8L (1ZZ engine)
03-06 GT = 1.8L (2ZZ engine)

And for easy reference on wheel bolt patterns should you need it.

ALL 1.8L (03-10) are 5x100.
