Re: Low Fuel Light

You can pick up rust, varnish, sediments and other contaminants that lie at the bottom of your tank, though, by driving under low fuel conditions. That can shorten (or even compromise) the service life of your fuel filter. I don't think that's really true anymore. The pumps pick up from the bottom ...

Re: Just scored a set of 2016 Corolla wheels!

Hmm, the center bore is the same 54.1mm for all the Vibes (and my new Corolla wheels). The 2.4 engine gen 2s had 5x114 bolt pattern, but the 1.8s stuck with the 5x100. 2010 Corolla wheels should have fit fine, too. Same bolt pattern, same center bore (54.1mm). http://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/...

Probably not the lifters if the engine is off.

How quickly does it tick? Is it a regular rate and rhythm?

It's clearly something electrical. Do you have an aftermarket radio?

My first thought was vacuum leak. There are hoses you don't know about and won't see. You need to do a proper vacuum test. You can use a vacuum gauge (cheap ones at Harbor Freight), starter fluid, or you can do it right and have a mechanic do a smoke test. If your code reader has a real-time gauge y...
