I may have to go with the base model to avoid the higher gas costs then. Thanks for the thoughts on the 2003 versus the 2006.

oh nice. glad to see this got bumped to the top after I posted a slew of noobie questions... the 2003 - 2006 GT model requies premium gas? Like... the highest end of the three options at the pump? or just 87 octane?

A noobie saying hello.

Howdy all. I'm seriously looking to buy a 2006 or 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT (or possibly a 2006 Matrix, since that year seems to avoid the transmission of fail in earlier matrix models) and am doing some extended research on it. Should I even consider the non-GT model with a manual? What's the gas mileag...

Howdy, After doing a lot of research and test driving an automatic "base model" 2007 Vibe, I'm interested in purchasing a 2006 Vibe GT in the Southeast (Columbia, SC). I'm replacing my '01 Nissan that had 85k miles, so I'm hoping I can find not much higher mileage than that. Preferably whi...
