A tune will be required regardless because every engine has a different amount of wear and what-not. The ECU of 03-04 Vibes is different from that of 05-08 due to the 05-08 being DBW and not DBC, so you need to swap around I think 4 wires if you are going to a different years bracket than this setu...

If you have an FWD 05+ Vibe/Matrix/Corolla you'll need the throttle body adapter. Also The TRD ECU will NOT work on your car.
