Load (light or full) performance

There is an interesting discussion going on in another group I'm a member of with regards to load performance and fuel economy. For those of you who regularly carry a few passengers or stuff how does the load affect (if any) performance? Does it seem to struggle up hills, or when accleratiing? Do yo...

How big of a piece are you talking about? A little piece shouldn't do any harm. Since it is by, near the timing chain, the chain will probably pick it up and circulate it while it is rotating. Hopefully it would not jam somewhere causing the chain to stop.

Nice to find this thread. I contacted Toyota. There is no recall or service bulletin for this issue. In a nutshell, it will probably fall on the owners to pay to have the odometer fixed/replaced, which would necessitate replacing the whole cluster?

Ignore this for your problem, I just realized that the front and rear windows have a different design. I'll leave this here in case anyone has the same problem with a front window though. It sounds like you're talking about the plastic bracket piece that attaches the glass to the regulator. If so, ...

Here's a question related to my original post, so I'll keep with the same thread. Which would you choose: - an 06 for $5,500 somewhat negotiable from a dealer, has a one-owner history with 151,000 miles (no warranty above 150K miles) - an 03 for $5,500 with not much wiggle room at all from a privat...

Re: 2006 reliability vs other years?

In many respects for some the 2008 might have been the best Vibe/Matrix year. Everything is negotiable. For what a 2008 would have cost me I think I would looked elsewhere but I really had no compelling reason to replace my low mileage 2003 Vibe anyway. In 2009 the numbers made it a no brainer. Saw...

Hey Mick. I'm going to go a bit off topic here. If you are that tall, why do you want a Vibe? I am 6'1'' and have owned both Vibes. The first gen is a very uncomfortable ride for a tall person. A toyota engineer needs to be shot!!! Put it behind the manifold is nuts! Now with that being said the PCV is nothing more than a check valve to allow 1 way air flow. So if the engine back fires it won't send flames into the engine. They are spring loaded and very rarely fail. Well Toyota did add V...

Since you are already paying for the '09 might as well keep it. You may find a 1st Gen, but will it be in decent shape? Dealers are frequently chopping prices, esp on the 1st Gen because of Pontiac's poor resale, and the brand and make are gone. Good luck
