I have one on there. But it's mostly audio. But I think you can hear and see the tach when it hits lift.

Any who the motor is stroked now to 2.0L. Check out the post and video. 206whip and 156lbs of tq.

2zz stroked N/A 2.0

I had my Spyders 2zz engine Stroked. I wanted to keep it normally aspirated. I'm pretty impressed with the results. The torque looks amazing.

It's toast. The 1zz engines don't rebuild well. My advice get a low mileage engine and swap it.

TRS The Retrofit Source seems to be a popular choice. I did a set on my Trailblazer that came out good. Doing Halos is a waste of time though if you ask me.

I find it easier to replace the whole hub. But my experience has always been with a RWD. So I couldn't say how hard it is to do on a FWD.

Never heard that one before.

Definetly should be changed. I'm bias. You know what I recommend. Amsoil makes some of the best transmission products out there.

You can use the GL-4. It's probably a safer bet too.

I personally have used the Redline MT90 and had issues when the weather was cool shifting.

I jumped to the Amsoil GL-4 and now I'm here.

Have you searched Crutchfield? Service is top notch and a little while back they had a Clarion DVD/Nav unit for somewhere around 3-400 iirc. I thought about picking that up to replace my Pioneer D2 unless I send this one out for repair.

You should be using 5w20 on that. That being said you should be okay in the short term using your stockpile of 5w30. I go about 5-7k on my 2zz depending how hard I have run it. My Chevy Trailblazer has gone about 9k on the last one 150k miles on that truck. I decided to see how the OLM was working. Yes it will. If its for the purposes of starting. I have personally done it. I have not driven it with a 1zz ecu but it will run. I did it for the purpose of trying to diagnose a ecu problem.

Should be easy for someone to fabricate you a new one. Go custom. You can probably buy a muffler and have one put together for about 400 bucks.

Don't flush the Tranny or run any chemicals in it!! You want a Fluid change over and is a simple process. Just disconnect the transmission return line from the radiator and transmission. At 100k should be a major overhaul of fluids. Brake fluids, differentials, transmission fluid and filter, coolant and spark plugs.

Not much else I can think of right now. Maybe just giving your throttle body a good cleaning as well.

You can, but then that defeats the purpose of your original fill. Especially if its a oil you trust in your engine. There is different additives in oil and that is what makes them unique. So essentially you could be watering down your oil with a lesser product.

It's possible. Just tie a string on the chain and tie it to the block. Don't let the chain drop! Make sure to mark the chain with a Sharpe and on the cams so that your timing is lined up. Ill try and find the write up on another board. I've done it once on my MR2.

Thanks for the replies. The Castrol Multi-import ATF does meet the T-IV spec for the gen1 Vibes but does not list the WS spec for the gen2 Vibes. On the MR2 Spyders the ones that had problems were the 2000-2002's They solved the issues on the 2003's+. Not sure with the Vibes. Unfortunately once the oil light goes on in these cars its already too late.

I would not worry about failure it should be fine to use. Though like it has been mentioned, brake fluid absorbs a lot of fluid. So for maximum braking power you want new fluid. Brake fluid should be changed every year or two.

Welcome to GenVibe! Nice color too. Try contacting the dealer, they may replace the radio with an aftermarket unit. Most dealers try and keep a customer happy. It doesn't hurt to ask. Just say hey I never had a chance to try the CD player and noticed it doesn't work anything you can do?

Was the motor mount replaced with a oem or aftermarket? Some aftermarket motor mounts don't respond well below a certain rpm. My Trailblazer needs OEM mounts.
