Re: 5speed to 6 speed?

I've swapped out my 5 speed for the GT 6 speed! My 5 speed spun the bearing, so I found a 6 speed from an XRS through Keystone Auto Parts for about $900. It's a direct swap, all I would suggest is a new slave cylinder and new throw out bearing while you're in there. Take your time, and trust me it t...

Re: Hood/Grill Paint Job!

The short answer... no lol If I had used higher quality clearcoat it would have, but I used Rust-o-Leum gloss clear and it gave it a different sheen close up. From about 5-10 feet out, and onward, both sides of the hood look identical. However, up close, you can see the texture difference, as well a...

Hey! I work till 3 on Saturday. What are the procedures for the car show? Showing up early or meeting somewhere before hand? I am literally right down the road from it, so I just need to get out of work, change, then drive over or to where ever we're meeting!

Some things I learned!

My girlfriends mom works at the local Chevy/Buick dealer where I purchased my Vibe, and had suggested I check out their stock when I was searching for a car this time last year. I perused a few local dealers, but none had a stick for me to purchase. The only thing I had been offered was a 2012 GTI w...

Replaced the starter!

For the past 3 or more months, the Vibe has been needing the assistance of my glove box hammer to start  We believed it was always the starter, and as time progressed it became apparent it was the solenoid sticking. Whenever I would drive the car (allowing it to heat up) shut her down, and th...

Ok, so now that it's been established that the bronze wheels are the winner, I have another public question: How would a hot rod (satin/flat black) look if I painted all my plain grey trim (ie bumpers and side skirts) such a color? I feel the dark grey metallic with flat black bumpers and side skirt...

A friend offered me a wet kit, seeing as he's been sitting on it for a while, and I was wondering how useful this is? I would like it (it's always cool to say your car runs nitrous) but do I run the risk of hurting anything? is it super invasive to install? @rollavvti06 How well does it work for you...

Ok! So if I ever decided to change mine to a 2ZZ, it'd be a complete engine swap, rather than a head swap. Thanks! I am very used to the neons, which to change it from a SOHC to a DOHC you could literally swap out the heads and it was all fine and dandy. Sometimes running a SOHC ECU on a DOHC netted...
