Re: What tires Y'all like?

Maybe the DOT is a little quicker in your neck of the woods! :( Driving down Interstate 43 is like driving on a giant corn cob!

Re: What tires Y'all like?

Thank you all for your responses. It is nice to get objective reviews on vehicle specific experience. I posted a similar question on a motorcycle forum about a year ago and ended up buying some Michelin tires that made my bike handle and ride like a completely different machine. (In a good way) Prio...

What tires Y'all like?

Hello everyone, I am in need of some new tires for my '09 GT. I know it is a matter of driving style and personal preference, but I was wanting some feedback of what is your prefered tire and why. I was also wondering if anyone has tried to go the next size larger (215/ 55 -18) to improve ride. If I...

Rattle/Grinding Noise?

Hello fellow Vibers.... I have an '09 GT with roughly 90,000 miles. I recently developed an loud rattle/grinding noise at around 1500 RPM. The noise sounds like a loose heat shield but much louder and only at around 1500 RPM both accelerating and decelerating. A friend of mine suggested that the cat...

Re: potental owner (questions about cabin size/engine power)

Welcome to GenVibe! I recently purchased an '09 GT and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I too was waffling a bit on the gen.1 vs. gen.2 conundrum. I am 6'3" and the tipping point for me (along with price) was the gen.2 has a telescopic steering wheel. I know that may sound trivial but t...

That looks awesome man! I never worked with plasti dip before, how durable is it? Will it take the beating that wheels get?

Oil Capacity??

Sorry if this topic has been beat to death already but I am gonna throw this out there. I brought home my '09 GT a little over 2 weeks ago. I decided to change the oil right away because I didn't trust the salesman when he told me that the oil was just changed, along with the 144 point inspection. (...

Re: List your pets

Here is my 13 year old Huskey German Shepard mix. His name is Nakita. He is a great dog, great with the kids, great varment hunter, and an intimidating guard dog. Sadly he is slowing down considerably, and we may have to make a tough decision this summer.

Re: A Vibe accident spotted on the front page of Reddit

WOW!! That must have been one hell of a ride. I am happy to see she came out of this O.K. My '09 came with the additional side airbags which makes me feel even safer. This Vibe replaced my '07 Malibu which was totaled after going in the ditch at about 30mph this winter. I never felt safe dri...

DAMN! Your car is one sweet ride! It is a testament of what one can do with a little creativity and a lot of ingenuity. Love seeing the boys wrenching on it with you. Keep sending us the pics!

Re: Help a new guy out

Thanks, I have already contacted the bone yard to be on the lookout for me. Vibenvy, I saw your post of your car in "winter mode", and I think the steelies panted black on your car looked kinda cool. We have the same car so that is what I will be doing come winter. Thank you for all your h...

O.K.... New question: if I find a set of 16" rims what size tires do I need to keep the speedo somewhat correct?

Help a new guy out

New Vibe owner and lovin it. Mine is a '09 GT. My question is what to you guys do for winter tires on yours. My stock GT 18"s are still in really good shape and I actually like the look. In Wisconsin they do a good job of clearing the snow but they put down a ton of salt which will kill the sto...

Re: Greetings

Thanks for the warm welcome and the info. I live in the small town of Oostburg, WI. A little community located half way between Milwaukee and Green Bay. My Vibe is a Silver GT auto tranny with about 65000 miles. I have only had it a little over a week and so far I am loving it. No mods yet, not plan...

Greetings

Hello all, I am a new owner of a '09 GT and new member of the forum. So far I am a fan of both! I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a service manual for my model. I tried searching for both the Vibe and Matrix, all I come up with is first generation manuals or full G...
