Re: ‘09 Vibe 1.8; P0352 Ignition Coil B

Yes, it may have been a connection issue. Question: was there any oil on the boots of the coils? If so you have a leaking valve cover gasket and the problem will come back. Thanks for the response. I didn’t notice any oil on the boots of the coils. The outside of the boots were clean but I did not ...

Re: ‘09 Vibe 1.8; P0352 Ignition Coil B

So, I put all the original Denso coils back on and not on the same order that I took them off, so now they are on different plugs. Now it is running fine, no misfire and no lights on. Maybe it was a connection issue?

‘09 Vibe 1.8; P0352 Ignition Coil B

I’ve had this issue for a couple years but now it’s constant. Seems to be when bad weather that the car will misfire at idle and right off idle, then the Check Engine light will come on as well as the Traction Control light and the VSC Off light will flash. Normally it lasts 2-3 days and goes away b...

Maintenance schedule

Hello everyone. I have a 1.8l 2009 Vibe with a little over 99,000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what maintenance schedule is on these cars. At how many miles/years should these things be changed: coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, spark plugs, air filter, and the cabin ...

Toyota Matrix officially discountinued

Thought this was coming, hoping it wasn't, but it's now official. 2013 will be the final year for the Toyota Matrix. Here's the link with a press release from Toyota.

Re: Removing rear rotors on 2003 vibe GT

I had the same problem. Hit the discs with a mallet for what seemed like forever. Sprayed them with some PB Blaster and let it pentrate for 45 min, then back with the mallet and still nothing. Picked up some 5/16 bolts and in less than a minute got the discs off!

Any good sun shade?

I'm looking for a fitted sun shade for my '09 Vibe. Anyone know of where can get a good one? I have about $60 to spend.

transmission flush or fill?

I have an '09 Vibe 1.8 with the 4 speed. It now has about 64,000 miles on it. I'm debating whether do to a complete flush or a simple drain and fill. What do ya'll think? When going from reverse to drive it shifts hard, but other than that no problems. If I should do a flush, what's the best way to ...

Danica on pole, big deal?

So is it just me, or is Danica Patrick making pole position not a big deal at all? How many races has she won in her 9 year racing career in Sprint Cup, Nationwide, or Indy? Would a man with the same record as her (1 win in 115 races in Indy, and 0 wins in 68 races in NASCAR) be getting the same pra...

Re: Switching to synthetic oil???

I just bought my Vibe 3 weeks ago. It had 59000 miles and I just changed oil and put in Mobil 1 5w-20 fully syntheitc. I've been using fully synthetic for years in my other cars. But on one I am gonna change because it's leaking oil; hopefully conventional will slow the leak because I'm too lazy to ...

What's Grand Am doing?!

My favorite American motorsport is ALMS. Well, it was until I learned Grand Am is elminating the LMP1 class, the most advanced class on the grid. Audi's last race will be Sebring, and they will be racing their R18 E-Trons. So does anyone else think eliminating the LMP1 class is a terrible idea? Or w...

Re: Fixed my 2009 Gt broken radio knob!

So I'm tryng fix the broken control knob on my radio and I'm stuck on the 12 screws on the circuit board. What size are they? I've tried a 3mm, too small, a 4mm, too big, and a 1/8, too small, a 5/32, too big. I've never seen a 3.5mm or 9/64. What size are they?! UPDATE: I got them off! What I did w...

fuel filter?

I'm new to the Vibe. I've only had the 1.8 for a week now. I was looking through the owners manual for the maintenance schedule and was surprised about what I didn't see: nothing about changing the fuel filter. So is it not necessary to change the fuel filter? Is it one of those types that you canno...

Re: cleaning interior surfaces

I tried water and soap and it worked great, thanks. Only problem was I kept honking the horn! Next time I'll pull the fuse for the horn first. Does the Mother's leave a shiny look? I don't want a shiny look. I know Meguair's Natural Shine is not suppose to but I haven't tried it. Has anyone used Lex...

Re: Bought 09 Vibe, now want service manuals

Yep, those look like what I want. That sucks that the accuracy is off. If you do your own work (read: like to save money!) these are a must. Since the Matrix is basically mechanically identical to the Vibe, would the service manuals for the 09 Matrix be the same as the ones for the Vibe? Would Toyot...

cleaning interior surfaces

Hey everyone. So my wife and I bought a 09 Vibe a few days ago (on her birthday!) and we want to detail the interior really well. I was hoping people could give me some ideas of what to use on all the different interior surfaces. The shifter and steering wheel are especially faded/dirty. What have o...

Are the Helms manuals still available? How many are there? I want them!

Let me know about the cargo mat and shade also.

Bought 09 Vibe, now want service manuals

Hello everyone! I was so happy to find a site dedicated to the Vibe! My wife and I bought a 09 Vibe base 1.8 liter. It's black with 59,000 miles. We bought it on her birthday, so it was a great present! I work on all my cars, and I was wondering where I could buy a copy of the GM service manuals for...
