Re: 2006 base "missing"

I know this is an old thread, but may I ask where you purchased the spark plugs? I’ve been watching some YouTube videos and seeing there are a lot of fake automotive maintenance products being sold on Amazon and eBay, especially spark plugs and the like. Purchased thru Amazon. Don't recall the sell...

Re: 2006 base "missing"

Well finally had time to go thru the Vibe. Found a bad spark plug. Took a while we ran around the blocks a few times with no codes or misfire issues. After 15-20 minutes, P0304 showed up. Swapped coils, same cylinder throwing code. Was going to swap plugs around when we found the ceramic insulator s...

Re: 2006 base "missing"

update: installed 4 new coils-->now have a significant "knock" or "slap" son hooked up OBD2-->P0352 and P0354 codes (B and D cylinders relating to ignition coil) When removing the old coils, one had a orange-brown film on the boot. Would that indicate the valve cover gasket needs...

2006 base "missing"

as the 2006 vibe was driving home yesterday and the Vibe started "missing?" once home we checked all fluids, which were normal. NO CEL at this point. As it was idling, the RPM randomly fluctuated between 650-850. Drove around the block and it kept "missing" randomly. Driving on t...

Re: What did you do to your Vibe today?

Replaced broken fog lamps. 16 year old son did 95% of the work. I was there solely in an advisory role. One question he had was what size plastic rivets for the mud guards? We found a bunch on Amazon but not sure on sizing. Next project: drop and drain the transmission. I'm a little hesitant but the...

Glad to have found this post. With a new alternator, blower and resistor, I am hearing the blower speed increase once the car is moving. Thanks!

Re: Help with Replacing Cigarette Lighter Socket

The "lighter" socket is blowing the fuse when a phone charger is plugged in. Would it be possible to replace with a USB port? And what level of difficulty to install a usb, if any are available? I've replaced the blower and resistor. After contorting and becoming triple jointed, we got the...

Re: another cooling issue

voltmeter test says power to fan motor. turned on a/c and fan tried to spin but just couldn't. i guess its time for a new fan assy. What about the ground? ground for the fan? I don't have the wiring schematic. I will try to trace it back from the fan connection. On another note, any ideas for the c...

ok, so the kid takes mom for driving practice. a/c on, 10 miles on the highway, then turn into Tacoma for some city driving. long story, short, the car overheats. after it cools, with the a/c off, they return home. I drive to work this morning, temp stays in the middle as usual. i check the fan stat...

loose cooling fan

the 2006 vibe has a loose fan. If I go OEM, it looks as if the entire shroud assy. is the solution for replacement. or aftermarket? Can an aftermarket fan/motor assy. easily fit without replacing the shroud assy? or is it easier to replace the entire shroud/fan assy? It looks as if the pricing is cl...
