Transmission problem?? 09 GT

I bought an 09 GT automatic with 45,000 miles on it back in January and have recently noticed within the last month the transmission has been acting odd lately. What is most noticeable is when I come to a stop, the transmission feels like it downshifts after I stop, like a jerking motion for the who...

Re: Advice on a potential new purchase?

I had an 03 Base Vibe with all options that had 187,000 miles on it when I sold it. Ran perfect and needed nothing, so I wouldn't hesitate about the mileage too much.

Installed the Husky Liner floor mats today as well. Let me know if you'd be interested in this ;). Congratulations on your "new" vehicle purchase! I look forward to seeing pictures of it! I did see that for sale, tempting for sure. I'll have to let you know. I liked the Husky Liners, but ...

Re: 09 Vibe GT - baby friendly?

Well, I picked up the 09 GT in grey over the weekend. Awesome ;) Now you're officially another Vibe legitimate owner! How much $$$ did this Vibe set you back? Aside from the sunroof being missing :x you'll be glad you got it. Looking forward to pics of your Vibe! I paid 11,500. It has 44000 miles a...

Well, I picked up the 09 GT in grey over the weekend. Traded in my Element SC. I love this car so far. Already added 5% tint, have all-weather mats on order as well. Will post pics when the snow goes away.

Do Matrix Accessories fit newer Vibes?

I can't seem to find anyone that stocks the all-weather OEM floor mats for the 09 Vibe. I do however see Matrix ones ready available. Do those fit or do they have a different floor pattern?

Re: 09 Vibe GT - baby friendly?

My 4 year old niece fits in a forward facing seat just fine behind me (6'3") with the seat all the way back. I've also had several different strollers in the back with no issues, but that probably depends on your stroller. Worst case scenario you could fold down the smaller half of the back se...

09 Vibe GT - baby friendly?

So I had an 03 Vibe Base and it was a great car, but for some reason decided to sell it and bought a 2007 Honda Element SC, it's a nice car, but I am not blown away by it and with the small suicide door and only 2 backseats, it's a pain in the (removed) for putting my daughter in her car seat and th...

2003 Pontiac Vibe For Sale (Indianapolis, IN) $4000

Selling my 2003 Pontiac Vibe Base. I found a 2009 GT that I'm going to buy. The car is in great shape for the age and miles. NO check engine lights at all. It has 179,000 miles on it and will increase as I continue to drive it daily. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle and all owners have taken very g...

Re: best 06 front rotor recommendation

I've had the best luck with using OEM rotors and pads. I've had so many cars it's unreal and out of all, Toyota's warp the least - if at all. My wife has an 09 Scion xB with 50K on it as well with no warp issues either and I'm sure she could be easier on her brakes if she wanted to. It may cost more...

Drove on a 80 mile trip today and the heat seemed to be fine. Not sure what could cause it to not be warm at an idle?

Coolant levels were fine.

2003 Vibe heater not very warm?

My 03 base Vibe heater is not really warm at all. Noticed today in the morning when it was chilly. The car temp guage is normal and the blower is working great, but the air is not warm.

Any ideas? Thermostat?

Looks like you are in Indy. The dealer just lowered the price on that car, so don't expect a discount anymore. Especially from Penske. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=93899694&listingRecNum=23&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D200...

What's the consensus on Seafoam?

So I have 174,000 miles on my 03 Base and I do have some lifter or valve noise. Car runs great, doesn't seem to use or leak oil, no CEL lights, but was reading that running Seafoam in the oil before an oil change and possibly after could help?

anywhere to still get this piece??

Also, the noise isn't there when the car is warmed up, would this still be that tensioner piston?

I just bought Hankook Ventus HRII H405 at Discount Tire, these tires ride excellent and seem great in wet weather. The best part is that I got them for $300.98 OTD with taxes, mounted balanced for a 205/55-16 tire. Best deal ever. They are advertised at $65/tire on their site, but they will negotiat...

PIcked this Vibe up a few weeks ago, it's an 03 with 174000 miles on it. It's in excellent shape and I'm the 3rd owner. Just put new Hankook Ventus tires on it, had the windows tinted 5% and a massive cleaning and wax. I doubt I'll do much else, other than drive it although I'd like to put the nice ...

Do the 18" newer Vibe wheels fit the older Vibes? Unfortunately, no. Different bolt patterns. You need a 5x100 pattern and the 2009-2010 Vibes with the 17" &18" wheels have a 5x114 pattern. I wanted to put the new wheels on my son's 06 and was disappointed, but we got the 17"...

New owner with a couple questions.

I just picked up an 03 Vibe base with 173,000 miles on it. Has the Moon/Tunes package, aluminum wheels and automatic. It runs great and has been very well maintained, I'm the 3rd owner. Anyway, the factory CD player backlight is burned out, from reading on here I see that it is a common problem. I w...
