Re: What do you use on your outside trim to preserve it?

It all comes back faded after time. I like Meguiar's ultimate protectant. It goes on easy with applicator and lasts a while. Good stuff.

Re: Best Car Wax

Waxes do not last on a vehicle. They are short term protection. If you want the vehicle to stay shiny for a bit longer you need to apply a sealant after wax job. I've used the better waxes and more inexpensive ones applying it with a DA buffer out of direct sunlight. The differences are minimal for ...

Re: Adams polishes

I heard it's good stuff and have a great line.

I've used Meguiar's on my details due to cost - people just don't have mula for expensive product and want a shiny car.

Re: plastic exterior trim

You need a good all purpose cleaner (APC) from Meguiars or Chemical guys website. Follow the ratios because its very concentrated. Wipe down the interior in a premixed spray bottle and use microfiber rags. It'll get all that stuff off well. I like Meguires Natural Shine (get at any auto store) in co...

Re: Stain removal

If you want to take out stains use Blue Magic - cheap and effective and agitate the stain with light Brush and then dab the stain with a clean towel and it will come up after a few tries. Don't rub it or it'll get deeper in fibers. If you have a home steam cleaner with nozzle attachment then hit wit...

If this doesn't do you well then you will have to consider sound deadening the cabin to get quieter ride.

Re: Aftermarket air intakes lead to MPG gain, real or myth?

I'd say unless you plan on racing her, then leave her stock and she'll last longer. Many people won't pay for aftermarket add ons. If you have aftermarket systems get ready to turn off a lot of buyers in the future. They assume an abused vehicle with an immature driver. Dealers don't like them eithe...

Re: Tire pressure on an 09 GT

18's are not cheap! I finally broke down and bought some AC Eagle - original equipment online and ran me over 500 for all 4 including mounting. Kind of crazy for a fuel efficient vehicle and decent handling. Rotate... Rotate... or you'll be swapping them in 20K. 16's are a good alternative - may be ...

Continental Conti Pro offer a quiet ride. Softer tire with softer side walls. They also make a tire called DWS that offers a better all season traction than reg all season tires. Check them out on tirerack.

Re: What's happening Folks

Thanks. I'll post pics in near future. I did swap out my cabin filter yesterday with an STP from autozone off the shelf 16.95. The cabin filter was pretty dirty to say the least. It took about 5 min to swap. I remember in my old CRV I scraped my hands up just getting at the dang thing - half between...

Re: What's happening Folks

welcome to genvibe If you don't know when it was done, probably a good idea to change the transmission fluid and the engine coolant. Other than that, follow the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. If you don't have an owners manual, you can download one as a PDF file from the Owners Manual P...

What's happening Folks

Hello Everyone. I have a 2009 Vibe GT in silver and have owned it for two trouble free years. I bought it at a dealer with 60K on it for 12,000. I traded in 1999 CRV with 200K on it. At the time nobody in the area wanted a Vibe and so he gave me 1500 off to move it off the lot. I always use Mobile 1...
