Re: No Supercharger = SLOW!!

What was the reason for removing the S/C? And do you know how many miles you put on the S/C before you took it off?

Also welcome to the club haha, I definitely feel the AWD should have been a bit quicker!

Re: How many miles on your Vibes?

Just rolled over 74,000 miles this weekend after an oil change. Nothing replaced on the car except for the front brakes (right caliper seized). No complaints!

OmniDimensional's 2003 AWD Abyss

So a few months ago I joined the community, although I've been less than an active member, it's not for lack of working on my Vibe! She is a 2003 AWD Abyss with only 120kms or 75miles. She has been hit once in the drivers side door when I was parked in 2008. She took a big hit with 4k worth of damag...

Re: Picking up my 2006 Vibe this evening!

Good looking vibe! Welcome to the forum man. As for common wear parts, I'm a lucky young pup with only 100k on my AWD vibe, so nothing worn out yet. Just redid the front brakes last year because the right one seized. My favourite mod so far is definitely the Short Ram Air Intake (I have the K&N ...

Re: how many miles did you do on a tank ?

Best I've done with my 2003 AWD was around 600km (372miles) highway, doing anywhere from 65-85mph and hitting heavy traffic. I can't remember the exact number because the yellow light was on and I couldn't find a station, panic! I normally fill up at halfway, keeps me Zen.

Re: Lowering with stcck springs

Don't cut them, not worth the hassle and sacrifice you'll make on ride quality and possibly even safety. If you only want springs they're not expensive. I picked up some Canuck Motorsport springs for my AWD a month ago at 100$ brand new. Actually, I just checked and they have a sale on 2wd springs f...

AWD Rear drum brake conversion

Was wondering if anyone has successfully converted rear brakes of their Vibes from drum to disk? My AWD Vibe is just begging for some delicious vented disk brakes all over, but I was wondering what kind of obstacles the AWD presents for rear brakes.

That's horrifying. What if there were pedestrians? Or other cars waiting, like you mentioned. Just goes to show no matter how careful you try to be you can almost never account for everyone else.

I used to play in a band in Ottawa, and used my vibe to carry 3 dudes, a full drum kit, 3 guitars and their respective amps, as well as a load of odds and ends needed for our shows. Always impressive what the Vibe can handle!

Rear struts in an AWD 2003

So I started lowering my AWD today, the front struts were a piece of cake and look great. However, the rear struts are being a royal pain. I unhooked the sway bar to give more room (and broke a bolt but I won't go there) but no matter how much I try I can't make room to pull out the strut. I plan on...

I agree with the new scion!!! It looks badass!!! However I would probably do something that even my close friends wouldn't expect me to do.... I would go back and try to find another 91' GMC Typhoon. Hello everybody!

Hey guys, thought I'd take some time to introduce myself. I've owned a 2003 Vibe AWD for a few years now, bought it off my dad in 2010. Thanks for the offer but my struts only have around 100k on them and its 60% highway, they still feel real strong. I'm glad that the alignment will be alright, I thought he was being a pansy! Only a 2" drop shouldn't be TOO bad.

Re: Dropped it again - Canuck Motorsports AWD Lowering Sprin

LOVE the look of your vibe. I'm looking to do the same thing to my '03 AWD, but when talking to a shop in town he told me all these horror stories of only installing lowering springs. Struts bottoming out in the cylinder, alignment being too far out and incurable, etc... I know you put in new shocks...
