Re: Replacing Gas Tank

Anyone know if the exhaust has to be removed before dropping the gas tank, or can the gas tank be slidden out from under the exhaust without having to remove the exhaust?

My exhaust is still going strong after 14 years, and I really don't want to mess with it and cause leaks and problems.

Re: emergency brake too "loose"

We have a 2005 MT Vibe and there is no doubt that the Ebrake needs to be...tightened ie one needs to pull it way up to do its thing. What is involved in adjusting it? Either adjust the handle, or the rear brakes, if the cable isn't broken. https://web.archive.org/web/20111216103753/http://showdesig...

Is the 2003 going to be that much different than a 2004 besides that red [instrument] panel? I know that many consider the 1.5 generation (2005) to be more desirable because of the changes including drive by wire but if don't think I would rule out a good 2004. Barring a not-great tuner, one thing to look at is whether you connected the power antenna lead on the harness that plugs into the car. These cars have an antenna amplifier to work around use of the shorter antenna. If your aftermarket radio isn't sending power to the proper pin on the factory harn...
