Re: Airbag Recall- Dealer Necessary?

The parts for the recall on my 2003 have been on back order for a couple of months now. I feel pretty good about just seat belts verses airbags and shrapnel. Has any one else considered disabling the air bags until some better ones come in? I saw a disable procedure, but I suspect the car would not ...

Re: HVAC System Wiring Diagram

Ahhh, that makes sense. The switch portion I was working on does not actuate the cable, the cable is actuated by the dial which in turn actuates the switch (recirc button) to make sure fresh air is being used. Interesting for sure as how most things have gone electronic or vacuum, they throw in a ca...

Re: HVAC System Wiring Diagram

Here are the remaining three images of what was done. I may make the switch look better, but at this point I have not destroyed any of the plastic to where I could not restore to the original state. Re: HVAC System Wiring Diagram

Thanks for the diagram joatmon. Based on that and what I see in the car, I have made a modification that I hope will allow the new servo to work longer before failing. It is not pretty at this point, but it proves to work as I expected. Essentially it is a power on/off OF the recirculate circuit/swi...

HVAC System Wiring Diagram

Hi Gen Vibe group, I am working on my Recirc servo for the second time. This time I am installing a new servo. I have the part, but I am concerned about whether or not I may just end up killing this one as well. So I started to wonder, what is the limit stop on/for this actuator. One poster stated t...

Rocker Panel Fasteners

Hi all, I have searched the threads but can not seem to get the part number for some fasteners for the rocker arm gray plastic panel. Due to an in motion modification  the cover is hanging. I have been able to plastic weld the two inner supports that were broken, but some fasteners have broken...

Re: Hvac door actuator replacement (Flapping noise on passen

This and all the threads regarding that same thing read like a sad book! I have performed one repair a few years back (180 degree swap) and I am currently in the middle of my second. It may be a whole new actuator, because of two areas of broken teeth, snaps falling off in my hand upon opening servo...

Re: Need a part number - Service Manual

I did the 180 fix a few years back and it has failed again, so my 'free' option has been used. Time to make a purchase. Thanks for the part number! I wonder if the part has any improvements made to it from the original design?

Re: Rear end noise 2003 AWD (keithvibe)

Thanks for gettting this started left3field and to all that chimed in on the subject. I have the same disease on my 2004 AWD with ABS. Rear Driver Side. Did the analysis this weekend with a stethescope to confirm. My Rear Dif was leaking while in warranty and that got worked on years ago. So I was h...

Re: Master Parts Listing (GMJAP)

I don't think these are in your list yet, disreaguard if they are:Having an 05 I wanted the power point in the center console, I purchased the cap and socket hoping for the wiring harness. I ended up just splicing into the existing plug forward of the break, BUT if someone wants to purchase the six ...

Thanks for the information, what you are saying seems to go with what is happening. Do you have the technical information on why? This is my first manual that I have seen this on.

Re: Awsome discovery (vibeseller)

Did anyone make the purchase yet? Get a photo? (no image or good description on gmparts direct or at the dealer, just says 'KNOB') I want to make the purchase but with the high price and extravagant shipping/handling I want to be very sure I am getting the right thing...

Re: Engine RPM? (Vibe)

Just purchased my second Vibe, 2005, 5 spd. I have been watching my rpms and have seen some disturbing things. All observations are well after warm up, without defrost or AC on. When I pull the clutch in the RPMs will drop 800 then back to 1200 and then back and forth some times. This was consistent...

Spats, if you would like to get an idea of what your Abyss Vibe would look like with black rims, I have enclosed an image of mine.
