Re: Definitely a problem (Vibenator)

I've had had my GT since day one (2002), and the problem isn't with the clutch or driving styles, the problem is that the tranny system was not made to support the GT, its really made to support the celica GT-S. Since the GT is heavier than the Celica I am sure we can easily figure out what will hap...

Re: When To Use Synthetic Oil? (Theodoreable)

I was told that synthetic oil isn't really necessary until around 80000 miles, when the seals begin to deteriorate. Conventional oils will take care of your vehicle very well prior to the 80000 mile mark, with adequate 3000 mile changes. More or less.

Just send the chip to an authorized dealer and have it re-flashed for your car. it should cost about 20 bucks. Just mail it. You should get it back within a week. BTW if its not flashed correctly it will not perform as well, as if you did not have it installed at all. Sometimes it makes things worse.

My flywheel had a groove in it that needed to be turned out. I changed the clutch and pressure plate because it started slipping a little bit during hard takeoffs up hill, and hard take offs going into a turn. Other than that the OE was fine.
