When I bought my Vibe I was driving a Toyota pu with a clutch all day out in the field. I was tired of it. Now I have a Ranger with an auto. Much better for working on a farm.

A lot more power than an auto. You can buy springs, aem intakes, Magnaflow is almost ready for sale. Lots of people on the forum. I think that I will be the old guy there.

I was looking at the sedan also but I liked the way the 5 door drove better. Plus it is more distinctive looking. Too many sedans look the same. It's hard to give up that cargo space!

I drove the only 5 door Mazda 3 on the lot. Impressions- manual tranny goes fast. great low end! It may have handled as well as my modded Vibe but I couldn't push it real hard and make the salesman sick. The ride was firm but more comfortable than mine(stiff). Great driving car! Jegs called Centerline today and they told them I need to go to America's tire or Les Schwabb. I talked to some one at Les S. and they are goint to order them for me. I am a little pissed at the guy at America's tire.

I did the tour at NUMMI and the only cars made ther were the Corolla and Vibe on the same line and the Tacoma made else where in the plant. I would say that this guy has no clue!

USAA- 360/6 mo. for the Vibe plus 100 for 91 mazda. Clean record GMAC ins wanted to raise my rates when I became divorced. I guess that was going to make me a crazy driver! I cancelled them The Vibe is cheap because I drive a co. truck home and the car sits in the garage.

I took my car over to America's tire to have them rotate and rebalance my tires. They told me that it is hard to get a good balance on the rims because they don't put weights on the outside of the rim. Any way, the steering wheel shakes back and forth worse than it did before. I bought my Hotchkis springs through a tunner shop because they only charged me 120.00 to install them. When I had called the dealer or tire shops the quotes were double of that. Remimber that Hotchkis has the highest rear spring rates to help control fwd understeer. The ride is firmer than some but...

Hotchkis- make your car handle! The drop in the front is about 2" and the rear 1 3/4. I have about 1 finger of space in the front with the 215-50-17 tires.

I did the factory tour at NUMMI and it was great. It gave me pride to think that my car was made there. It is a very quality consious plant.

Is it the dampning of the struts or the fact that many GTs have the oem 17" wheels and tires with stiffer side walls? That tire and wheel combo stiffens up the ride a lot.

Hey Bill, I test drove a 05 Corolla XRS and they reinforced the rear of the car between the strut towers. You can not lower the rear seat like other Corollas. I have one from Devlop and was surprised that it worked as well as it did. I think that you need to have a modded car to make it worth your while. With out the stiff suspension , sways, and tires it would be a waste of $. I would not put one on a stock car.

Check and make sure that your rear sway bar is tight and lubed. Mine has loosened before.

I have considered getting a supercharger for my car but the lower mi. concernes me. With a CAI and exhaust I usually get 28 in town and between 30-33 on the road going 70-80+ mph. Thanks Bill. My oldest new car with injection was a 79 Scirocco, then a used 77 Porsche 911S. Over the years I had many other cars and have never had to clean the fuels system. I called to make a service appt. for 2 yr service and also asked sales if they had any 04 GT s in stock. They didn't but they do have 3 03 GT available. How about an oil cooler for your engine? It would keep the heat down in your oil. My 77 Porsche had a factory cooler. I installed one on my 79 Scirocco because it was highly modified.

I have always have thought about painting my cladding to match the Salsa color of my car until I saw a mono tone Salsa at a dealer last week. Pretty, but kind of boring. I like my 2 tone with 04 cldding better. Looks more sporty!
