i think you must have a bad dealer, a friend of mine also bought a new 04 vibe a couple of weeks before i did, he had to take it backbecause of the paint chips on top,dealer looked at it and said it was a factory defect, and repainted (no charge)that week,good luck

i just traded my new 2004 malibu for my 2004 vibe,of course i took a lose trading so fast,but i'll take the $ lose for a bettercar anyday.i had more problems with the malibu in 1 week then i have had with the vibe in a month (none)
