i had a 98 Golf K2 and traded it in for my Vibe. It had 231,000 kms on it and the only problem i ever had was a short...after i hit a deer and the battery sprayed all over the engine bay.they fixed everything, but some of the wire bundles got corroded nicely.i miss that car...sniff.

got it, installed it, it works!a few hints i figured out during the installation:1. when removing the framing around the head unit, you can disconnect all the back 'connectors' except for the 'wire' which goes to the bottom 'unused' button on the left side. This allows you to minimize disconnections...

well over a year after starting this thread...i finally purchased the Peripheral AUX2CAR from http://www.discountcarstereo.comI have a B1 (2004 single CD with "BAND" and "CD/AUX" button and therefore went for the PXHGM3 harness.With standard UPS to Canada, I'll hopefully see this...
