Did you guys have to jack up the car and put the Vibe on stands or can you just unbolt the old sway bar and bolt on the new one? I know this may be a bit trivial, but I think the new sway bars from Progress aren't mint green in colour anymore -- looks like a gun metal colour.

I had a CEL when I first installed my Injen CAI also, but I never took it into the dealership to read the code. My experience is somewhere in the genvibe Engine section so do a search for that. Try all of the above (disconnect battery for at least 15 minutes). Double check to see if everything is connected properly. Anything obstructing the throttle cable?

I accidentally called a wheel distributor looking for wheels and the guy I talked to said that TireCraft was their biggest buyer. I was looking into a set of wheels and TireCraft was $50.00 cheaper than other places I've looked. Give them a call.

Guys, don't worry! The smog unit is ONLY on the '04+ GTs. It's a contraption in the lower driver's-side bumper. From the CAI, there are couple hoses that need to be connected to it. With your Abyss Vibe, the cladding doesn't contrast as much as with other lighter colours. Save your money and put it towards the nice wheels instead of paint -- I've seen some gunmetal rims with a chrome lip on the circumference that look pretty sharp.

I think DRL's in Canada have been around for about 10-12 years now, so we're pretty used to them. They do improve visibility especially if you are passing on the highways. Join the dark side and splurge for the GT . Keep in mind that you will lose a few HP on the AWD. If those are your choices, go with a 5-spd Base with a good set of winter tires when the snow falls.

I can't remember if you have any 3/4" vacuum hoses connecting your CAI to parts unknown, but I noticed that mine was bent which essentially cut off any air flow. It has to do with the original Injen packaging when the hose was folded up. Double check the hoses to make sure they haven't collapse...

Hey guys... I connected the one way check valve back into the metal nipple by the throttle body. I disconnected all the remaining tubing going into the OBD and used a short piece of tubing to cap off the 2 plastic nipples on the OBD. This is all according to the matrixowners.com thread. Bad news... the CEL came back on which would have been the 2nd time I started up the car. I was accelerating in 3rd gear at the time. I'll check the hoses on the smog unit, but I may have to go to the dealership. Hope, what does the unichip do? And is it expensive?Irvin

DOH! Disregard that last post... went to lunch today and CEL came back on. I was accelerating in 3rd at the time, but no where near lift. I guess I might have to pull open the fender and look at the hoses going into the smog unit after all. Still open to suggestions....
