Let's see... I've got a 2005 Vibe, 5spd with 57500 miles on it. I average about 34 miles to the gallon, and usually put about 10 gallons of gas each fill up. I counted when I did my first touch up session, which was at about 20K... 27 lil chips... all over the hood and above the windshield. And, I would say I have no less then 20 more... Of course, I've had my car for almost 10 months, 42K on it (averaging 34+ MPG ) and drive the interstate at 75 mph beh...

So, after 6 months, 27K miles and 2 touch up bottles of paint, my hood looks like it has the gray measles. As fast as I can touch up the hood, it becomes infected again.
