Bypass catalytic converter

Muffler shop wanted $600 to repair 03 vibe. Another wanted $100 to bypass it. So, I chose the $100 option, not fully understanding things. Now, trying to sell it, when I say converter has been bypassed customer loses interest. I see there are some on eBay for $125. What to do? I feel i have to tell ...

Re: Replacement parts 2003

Seems a chipmunk ate thru the gas supply line near the engine. So, for now, I don't need any parts. Good to know parts are Available! Thanks for your input, guys! Appreciate it!

Replacement parts 2003

Still driving my amazing 2003 with 130000 on it. First tow truck ride last week. Mechanic told me he can no longer really get replacement parts for the car?? Is that True? Kind of scary to think it could break down far away from home, and no one can fix It! ANY one know the answer? What do people bu...

Re: Driver's floor soaked... help?

I had a same problem. Turns out there was a lot of dirt, pine needles, small rocks, etc., that had accumulated behind the tire where the drain emptied. Had to take some things apart, but the in end, that was the problem. The water couldn't drain out because of the clogged up area. Had been parking u...

Re: the vibe can haul........

I've also hauled a leather reclining love seat in the vibe. That got a little crowded, but it worked.

Re: the vibe can haul........

I'm sure Home Depot is still talking about the woman who hauled a standard sized whirlpool bathtub in her Vibe. They told me to come back with a truck. I said it would fit. Attracted quite a crowd and side bets were placed. It fit! Just couldn't totally close the window - thank you bungie cord. Only...

Re: 2003 Sunroof leak - not the drain? (djkeev)

Thanks for your replies. Appreciate it. The drain is connected. I ran water into the drain and it came out the bottom of the car, but it was dripping from the seam that ran along the side of the car. There was a lot of debris behind the tire (pine needles, dirt, leaves, etc.) I've started a new post ...

2003 sunroof drains on bottom of car

Ran water into the drain at the sunroof. Water came out of the bottom of the car in drips along a 2 foot area of the bottom of the car at the seam that runs along the side of the car, and from a spot deeper under the car. Is this normal? I would think there would be a more localized location for the...

2003 Sunroof leak - not the drain?

Have a leaking sunroof. No one in the area will deal with it, other than the dealer, who said it might be cracked - a new one will run $1500, which seems a bit pricey. They say it isn't the drain hoses. Anyone else have this problem, or have any suggestions? I was thinking about having it replaced w...
