The window controls do take a bit to get used to, but I kind of like them where they are. One set of buttons = One less set of buttons that can break The engine is okay. Much better than the engine in the Ford Escape I test drove. The 5-speed automatic trans helps it a lot.What model did you look at...

Very comfortable. Rides great, no sharp jolts over bumps or anything. Can hardly hear the engine. About the only noise I hear is a bit from the tires (Bridgestone Dueler H/T's).

19/25 doesn't bother me a bit. Especially when I'm going from having to by 93-octane to 87. Besides, I normally only managed 28mpg out of the Vibe. Not much diff.

Thanks, Arc. I just need to get a few things for it and I'll be all set. It's going back to the dealer on 6/1 to get remote start and rustproofing put on it, and while it's there, it's getting splashguards and ventvisors put on the doors.

The one major thing that bugs me about the G6 is the price tag. The sticker price of one at the Chicago Auto Show (G6 GT with a pretty long list of options) was $28k and some change.There was a Grand Prix GTP sitting near that G6 with a very similar price tag.For me, if I walked into a Pontiac deale...

When it comes to musclecars, I've always been a Ford person. El Caminos are nice too...but they are more common, at least around here.I don't think I've seen any Rancheros in this area.EDIT: One thing the Ranchero will always have over the El Camino...the Ranchero came first

I haven't taken any pics of it yet, but the rubber strips that run along the top of the cladding around the wheel wells on my GT are starting to discolor and crack.Turning a lovely shade of brown, by the look of it. One of the G6's at the Chicago Auto Show was sticker priced at a bit over $28k. My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw that. For that kind of money, I can get a Grand Prix GTP, and have a lot more car for the same money.
