I started using 15 inch snow tires a few years ago.....liked the improved ride so much that I bought 15 inch Borbet wheels and Pirelli all season touring tires for the rest of the year. I've been very happy with it.

I use 15 inch rims all year now but started with what at the time was a preferred snow package from Tirerack that used 15 inch wheels.....the key thing in your initial question was "major benefit".....I don't think there's a "major" difference between 15 and 16 inch wheels at all...

Funny topic as I just got an Apple Magic Mouse for my iMac.....its truly the most awesome mouse ever...the touch control works somewhat like an iPhone and its Bluetooth so its wireless with no USB tie up required....its a beautiful and functional piece of technology.

Putting dark tint on your windows will always give the police justifiable cause to pull you over....even if they don't do so all the time.....they'll probably wait until some evening when its 2AM and you've had a beer ot two....or when you're on your way to someplace important like a job interview.....

Tirerack's recommended winter wheel/tire set for 2004 was 15 inches and they had a slew of acceptable 15 inch alloy wheels that fit the Vibe. A good set of dedicated snow tires such as Bridgestone Blizzaks can make AWD unnecessary for most of us. Personally I'd avoid AWD in a used vehicle. It adds complexity and potential expense - but that's just my feeling. I can see how others may differ. Good luck.

My wife had a 2005 RAV4 which was replaced with a 2007 RAV4. Its a no drama solid vehicle. I would not hesitate to recommend it at all. I don't know how they work with the Vibes but my wife's 2006 RAV4 tire pressure light came on and it took me a while to figure out that it also monitored the spare tire....and with the fall in temperatures that was the tire that was slightly low.

Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your new car. What was it about the Nissan that caused you to choose that instead of another Vibe or to hold out for a 2009 Vibe? Just curious as they are simiiar type cars.
