Cargo Tie Down Loop Kit (Part 88972736)

Good morning, Saddly, my 2007 Vibe was written off in a "black ice" accident last year. I was cleaning out my junk/tool closet and found the bag of tie down clips (Part 88972736) see the link below. https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/pontiac-loop-kit~88972736.html?Make=Pontiac&Model=Vi...

Thanks for the input so far, I realize gas mileage will get worse, but i'm willing to sacrifice that for 4WD and the higher towing capacity.

2007 Pontiac Vibe vs. 2013-2014 Jeep Patriot

Well i've been seriously contemplating getting a new vehicle. Something that's a little more rugged and a little better for towing with. I've considered selling the Vibe and buying a 2013-2014 Jeep Patriot Sport 4x4. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated....input? thoughts? pros? cons? Thanks in...

Re: Towing Boat

I've been towing my boat every summer for about 3 years. each trip is usually 900km round trip, never had a problem. Boat package weighs 1450lbs, plus 2 passengers, 1 dog & luggage in the car. I also have a transmission cooler installed. It's a little sluggish up long slopes but can handle it.

Today at 5 years and 128500km, I brought me Vibe into "Meineke Car Care Center" and got the radiator coolant flushed/changed. While I was there also got an oil change. Can't beat $22.95+tax for an oil change!

I've driven with the glass open, bringing home 12 to 14ft pieces of lumber and wood trim. I've never had a problem, the glass doesn't bounce up and down. I've never really hit a hard bump with it open either, i'd be afraid of it slamming down and shattering.

I frequently travel around north of Toronto, i'm from Tottenham (not far from Orangeville). My Vibe handled like s**t the first winter I had it. The wind had me all over the road. I bought winter tires the next winter and it's been a lot better since!!! These cars are very light.

You're pretty lucky to have that done for so cheap. The dealership here would cost $275 to have that done. The cheapest place i've found (and had it done last weekend) was $247. I checked about 5 or 6 different places.Count yourself lucky, it's less than half of what I had to pay.
