You should have just replaced the spark plugs or done nothing. $68.00 to inspect the plugs is insane. You only need to take out one and check it, takes 2 minutes. Replacing all four should be that price including the plugs.
If you fixed your blower, you could easily change your own spark plugs.

It's easy to check the alternator with a multimeter. It should put out around 14.3 volts.

You'll notice the car feels like it is even more under powered. The larger diameter of the tires raises the final drive ratio. Braking distance may also be increased slightly as will brake wear. As you probably know already, 205/65/16 is 6.49% larger than stock size. 3% is the recommended limit. :sh...

It might be easier to rig something out of an old plastic beverage container of the correct diameter.. It already has the right shape. You just need to slit it up the side to fit around the strut rod. Drill a hole in the bottom before slitting it the size of the rod. A couple of mine are ugly also. ...

I usually solder all connections and cover them with shrink tubing. Perfect conductivity and no chance of shorts or anything coming loose.

Sounds more like a CV joint. They're around $60.00 and up. Check for a torn boot and grease sprayed around. Try doing a tight (full lock) slow turn at parking lot speed, left and then right. This should narrow it down. A bearing usually is more of a groan or grinding sound which increases with speed...

BTW Good choice on the Hankook 727, you won't be disappointed.

They're covering their butts legally. I don't think you'll be driving much at 130 mph anyways. I haven't even reached 100 mph in mine. 85 mph is quite comfortable though. (closed course under adult supervision).

Before you go ahead and reseal the pan, make sure the oil is not running down from above and dripping off the pan. Look or reach up from underneath and see if there is oil above the pan. Shine a flashlight down from under the hood and see if the valve cover gasket or other seals are seeping oil slow...

Excellent choice for a first car. It's safe, fast enough, roomy, not too ugly and as you said, good insurance rate. A Subaru is another good safe first car. My daughter had 2 and then we gave her our '06 Vibe.

I had Kumho LX Platinum in 225/45/17 a few years ago. The were excellent tires. Smooth, quiet, handled well. The only issue you may have with the PA31 is that it is a V rated high performance tire and as such will likely wear out quite fast. I doubt very much if they make it anywhere near the 50,000...

It's very hygroscopic. You'll need a full bottle anyways to do a full flush. Buy a new one.
If you can find the colored stuff, it makes doing a flush easy. When the colored stuff appears you know it's fresh right through the system.

I'd go ahead and drill new holes if that's the only issue. Are you using the stock head unit?
