Re: Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid

So i'm about 300 miles in and no CEL. Was getting around 25mpg before, first tank was 30.5 (all freeway, some 90mph with a/c on). Hopefully i'll get back to 32-35ish on fwy.

Re: Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid

So i went ahead and got the solenoid from toyota this morning and went ahead and followed the instruction as per the link. I went ahead and swapped the solenoid which was just an easy unscrew, remove and replace. I'll update in a couple days if the cel comes back (fingers crossed it doesn't). Ps. th...

Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid

Hey everyone. I was very active on matrixowners a while back, but it seems to be dead jim. Anyways, I've still got the 2006 Matrix Xr with the automatic trans. Still just chugging along. I got a CEL (P0741) for the lock up solenoid. I changed the transmission fluid (just a drain and refill) about at...

Re: Learned a new trick to get the A/C to blow colder

I just gave this a try (along with wrapping one of the lines going to/from the condenser), and i'm not sure which one made a difference or both, but the AC seems cooler quicker. Correct me if i'm wrong, but framing the radiator with the insulation just helps at slower speeds (when the radiator fan ...

Re: Monroe Quick Struts 03 GT

I just put a set of Monroe quick struts on the 03 Vibe GT and "shocks". Interesting that they list them as struts but look like shocks to me with the coil over design. The fronts I had one problem when checking the torque on the last top nut and broke the bolt at 25 ft/lbs. The spec is 29...

FS:Complete Rear Disc Conversion

I've had these sitting on the workbench for a while now, and I dont think i'll get around to installing them. This is everything you need to give your matrix/vibe the rear disk conversion (you may need 4 M10-1.25 x 35mm bolts, and maybe the banjo bolts if i cant find them in the garage, but i bet i ...

Post up a link to the speakers you got. If you're going to be putting in a sub, ditch the factory deck and get a nice one! As for the crossover, i think you just hook the wires from the deck to the input and you'll have 2 outputs, one to the 6.5 and to the tweeter.
