Re: Replacing the shift console light?? (P POPPR)

I just got off the phone from the local pontiac dealers parts dept. They don't even show a bulb for the shifter. Can anyone shed any light on the subject. Pun intended:)

Replacing the shift console light??

Anyone have to replace this yet? The light for the automatic trans shift lever is burnt out. Does the entire center dash have to to come out to get at the bulb? http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5940

I can't compare to the others as to the functionality, but I'd bet they are all about the same. The main feature is the ease of washing and waxing the hood.

I went with the VENTSHADE part# 2037. It does not and will not come in contact with the painrt. No rubber bumpers are needed to avoid paint contact and you can easily wash and wax the entire hood. I've had bug deflectors in the past that trap debris and make washing and waxing difficult.

Thanks Mrizzle. I bugged the body shop today and they are Potenza RE92A 215/50/R17. A 72 year old gal ran into my daughter and in addition to the front end damage took out a tire. They only pay for the 1 tire but I'm replacing all 4. I'm leaning toward the Potenza G 009 or the Yokohama AVID V4S. Any...

I thought some of you guys that have taken the dash apart would know what this is. Not the dime The plastic nut next to the dime. It has grooves cut in the top for a standard or phillips head. It was on the front floor on the passenger side.

Anyone have rear suspension squeaks?

We have a squeak that we hear when the driver gets out of the car on a flat surface. Sounds like it's coming from the rear suspension. Kind of a rubber squeak. We had it at the dealer and naturally it didn't squeak.

Steering not responsive

I'm not used to front wheel drive so this could be normal. The steering has about a 1/2 second lag. When driving straight on the highway it is most noticeable. When making the minor corrections to keep the car in its lane, the wheels do not immediately respond to the movement of the steering wheel. ...
