Re: Some info please!

I have an 09 GT as well and mine did this to me a few months ago when I added the CAI. I couldn't figure out what the issue was, but since the CAI was the only thing I had changed recently, I took it off. During the removal process, I noticed that I didn't tighten down the connecting sleeve to the i...

Re: 2009 oem subwoofer wiring

Pretty sure the voice coils have to be wired to separate channels to function properly. I believe what you are currently doing is cancelling out the signal by connecting both sides of the voice coils to a single signal. This is causing the signal to loop back on itself. It would be the equivalent of...

Re: 2009 oem subwoofer wiring

The Sub in the 09's has a dual voice coil, so there should be 4 wires (2per Vcoil) leading to the sub. All 4 are required in order to have the sub produce sound. If you remove the sub from the enclosure, you will see the wires pair up on each side of the speaker.

Hope that helps?

Re: 09 Vibe with Monsoon possible replacement?

For the steering wheel controls, I used a PAC SWI-PS. (Just Google it and it should come right up). I am attaching the directions to actually install and program the device for our model car. It took some digging to find the info, but I can confirm that it works flawlessly with my head unit. For the...

Re: 09 Vibe with Monsoon possible replacement?

Hi OutlawTorn, I undertook this endeavor a few months back. I upgraded the head unit, amp and sub together the first time around, then followed suit with the door speakers and tweeters a month later. The Monsoon wiring is a pain in the (removed), so I just ran all new wiring rather than spend the $1...

Re: (ponta2147)

Ok, so from what I have been able to find so far, the adapter is the FAKRA adapter cable shown here: Now, I know the stock antenna (from the pic in the post above) has 3 wires, but my question is, are all three needed for reception or are two of them for signal boost? If only one is needed for recep...

Re: Using Stock Satellite Antenna with aftermarket radio on 09 Vibe GT (trb)

The Head unit is the F700bt. The unit that the antenna will need to plug into is the GEX-P920XM It looks like this: If you know of an adapter part name or number, it would be appreciated.

Using Stock Satellite Antenna with aftermarket radio on 09 Vibe GT

Hi Everyone!I have recently upgraded my head unit in my 09 Vibe GT and would like to add XM radio using the Pioneer GEX-P920XM adapter. My question is, can I use the existing Satellite antenna on my Vibe with this unit or will I have to mount the magnetic antenna on the roof of the car as well. If i...

Steering wheel controls using SWI-PS on 09 Vibe

So I am attempting to hook up a SWI-PS to retain the steering wheel controls in my 09 Vibe GT when I upgrade my HU. I decided to skip the GMOS LAN adapter and go the cheapy route on the hook up. I don't need Onstar and I am replacing the factory HU, Sub, and Amp so I don't need the expensive harness...

I had the same issue you are experiencing (I believe). When I was stopped at a red light, the car would "rumble", but if I threw it in neutral, it would be as quiet and smooth as it was brand new. I have the automatic GT, so I decided to change the AT fluid and viola, the "rumble"...

Thanks KITT222! I will have to take some pics and setup a signature photo for sure. I will check out the corolla site and see what they have in terms of lift control. It just seems like the lift engages way to close to redline to be of any real use. If I could cause it to kick in about 1.5k rpms soo...

VVT-I Vs. VTEC

Hi Guys, I have a question about the VVT-I engines. I come from a Honda VTEC background. I had a 97 Prelude with the H22a JDM engine. One of the things I loved most about the car was the fact that i could control when the VTEC kicked in. Another point of excitement was when the VTEC would kick in, I...

I have an '09 Vibe GT and at 95mph I am sitting at 3000 rpm's. At 70mph, the rpm's are around 2500 (maybe a little less). I also have the automatic with DSC, but don't think that makes much difference.

To answer my own question and to help anyone else out that may have the same question, the part number for the OCV filter from Toyota is 15678-28010. Sorry for the Noob question, but does this apply to the 2AZ-FE engines as well? I can not find anything on the net regarding this filter or where it is located on the 09 gt. Any help is appreciated.
