The body kit actually replaces the whole front of the car. In my case, it'll give my '04 the grille of an '05-08 (which is why I need to get a new one )

Front Pontiac emblem and grille

Looking for a grey/silver Pontiac emblem to install with the Duraflex kit that I'm about to have installed. Also, anyone have a good source for the 3 piece grille? I've found a few, but they are bad pictures. TIA for any guidance, thoughts or ideas.

Damn you guys for making sense, and I guess that's why I've never seen it before. What I was thinking, make it so it looked like it was supposed to be there and not like 20 years of neglect.I will definitely get them nice, shiny and clear (possibly with clear corners)...after this suspension snafu w...

Frosted Headlights?

So I just went to spray on some cleaner wax to help de-yellow my headlights until I get to actually restoring them. While I was letting them sit for a few mins, I took a step back to smoke a cigarette and I started looking at the car. It kinda looked cool and I don't know if I've ever seen anyone do...

Thanks for your advice and responses keith, hopefully I'll have a little more daylight tomorrow to take the fronts off and fix the mounts. Even with my semi-failed install, I can notice quite a few improvements with the car. Still getting used to the wheels staying in full contact with the road even...

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. However, I'd never learn the right way if I didn't f it up. So now its time to fix the mistakes. In your opinion, do you think I've messed up the mounts and need new ones or do you think its salvageable? Also, still looking around for a solution to the spring bumpe...

geez, this whole pic uploading is not going how I planned. Lets try photobucket. The beads felt like metal and just fell right off as soon as I touched them.

Re: (nightmare22)

So here is a pic of the driver's side upper strut mount. For some reason this does not seem right to me, but idk if its part of the lowering process. Also, when I looked at the pic on my computer, I noticed those tiny beads of what is probably grease. Gonna go inspect while this is uploading.

Take the emergency brake off. Don't ask me how I know. Admin note: put the car in reverse to keep the car from rolling.

I'm gonna go back and check those links, but I had an epiphany right after I posted that. It was the metal ring that normally seats on top of the strut bumper. I misread the instructions for the s-techs. I have to say that with all the miscues in this install, I have gotten very proficient at rippin...

Still having trouble with rear shocks

I'm working on getting a photo on here, but when I install the rear shock, everything looks like its correct. But when I lower the vehicle, the mount separates and the rod from the shock sticks up higher than normal and messes with the plastic trim inside the trunk.Has anyone had any issue like this...

Anyone have a pic of a rear shock?

I went for a test drive after installing my s-techs and tokico shocks and heard a loud clanking in the rear. I stopped to look around for the source and my mounts were all spaced apart. Absolutely not right. So I'm omw back out to remove them and try to get this mount just right, but if anyone has a...

Yeah, that's nuts. I'm jealous, really I am. I'm at 92k miles and mine are about dead. Any slight crosswind and I'm fighting to keep the car straight. Good news though, Tokicos and Tein S's should be here in a couple days. Just opened my box of strut bellows and strut mounts.

They will definitely tell you if somethings wrong, and that the car cannot be properly aligned. However, changing suspension components can affect the alignment. So if you have the time and money to change something you know is bad before you get an alignment, that would be best case scenario. One li...

Re: exteme 1 tire wear=- (jamesmetairie)

Does it look like the struts have ever been replaced? If your vibe is just like mine, its probably riding on factory suspension still. In a perfect world it should have its second replacement set on now. My personal suggestion, change your struts before you get an alignment. Also check for any other...

If you still come back to check this, change them. I see its been about a month, so if you haven't done so by now, I suggest it. My 04 GT has about 90k miles and still riding on stock equipment. Don't put it off like I did, things get worse the longer you wait.Side note, all the research I've done h...

Rear shock boots?

I'm about to replace front and rear suspension, but I'm unsure whether to order these boots. There is a part number that I got from advance auto parts, and I found the part on amazon. However, I don't see them on my 2004 Vibe GT (or any remnants thereof), and I also did not see them on the suspensio...
